Chapter 22: I like you

Mia don't know the reason but tears kept on falling on her cheeks. She can't eat and sleep. Mia's health was somehow deteriorating as time passes. Talay have realized who Mia loves but would still try to confess.

Everybody finished their classes and Mia was about to go home when Phupha called Mia and told her something bad happened to Talay and that she needs to go to see him but first he requested to get Talay's things on his apartment. Mia opened the lights and saw Talay.

" What happened to you? Phupha told me you're sick"

" I am quite in pain if I don't tell you this"

" What do you mean?"

" I like you and I don't want to keep it from you. I know you're shock and I'm not sure if you know what to say but I want to you to know that I will always support you and if you like I can always be by your side not as a friend but a boyfriend. I hope you give me a chance."

" I . I don't know what to say."

" Please I beg you just be comfortable with me and just let me help you whatever it is."

" I'm still figuring out what I like and who I like"

" It's okay. If you don't like me, I'll make you like me if you want to"

" I'll "

" You don't need to reply. Let's just enjoy the night and eat."

" Wait just the two of us?"

" Well, no with Phupha and Mando"

" I see"

No one is talking but one can feel the tension between them. There were lots of questions on their minds but they can't ask question even mumble words actually, when suddenly someone knocked on the door.

" I'll open the door", says Talay.

" Okay", she replied.

Mando and Phupha went inside and were talking and laughing talking about a movie they've watched.

" The guy really liked the girl, right?", Mando asked.

" I mean it was obvious since a long time ago", Phupha answered.

" I couldn't agree more. How can the girl not feel anything, right?", Mando added.

" Maybe because she doesn't love him and she just see him as a friend", Phupha added.

Mando was about to continue when Talay somewhat cleared his throat and wanting both of the guys to realize that they were the only one talking.

" Sorry guys it was just the movie is interesting", Mando said.

" I think I already watched that so I guess let's just move to another topic?", Talay replied.

" Yes, I couldn't agree more. Maybe, we just talk about that some other time Mando", Phupha added.

"... but it was ", Mando replied.

Mando was about to say something but saw Talay glaring so he realized that something might be wrong. Everybody was so quiet when Phupha decided to ask a question.

" ...so how was the surprise?"

" It was wonderful and anyone would be happy I guess to have such surprise", Mia answered.

" I think we can also do that as long as we're in love, right?", Mando asked.

" Maybe", Talay answered sheepishly.

The four of them reminisce the time they had spent a long time ago and enjoyed the night. At least for a night Mia somehow forgot Ren at least infront of them. She somehow feel sad still but somehow because of her friends she somehow forget the pain.

Meanwhile, Ren and his friends were worried about how they may help with the problem Ren's family is experiencing.
