Benedict had to admit Muggle Studies became one of his favourite subjects, as it kept him in touch with home - where he came from, where he grew up. He almost enjoyed it as much as Care for Magical Creatures, although these classes seemd blunt in comparison of hanging out with Highwing. He truly adored the Puffskein litter, but it was not nearly as exciting as a Hippogriff. To think he had been very hesitant to meet Highwing..

"Pay attention class. Today, we'll discuss some Muggle fairytales that are still appreciated greatly until this day. Please turn to page 395 for A Midsummer Night's Dream." Professor Seymore mentioned, as she flipped through the pages herself.

When Benedict opened his book, he smiled: He had read a fair share of Shakespeare as it was used during his English Literature classes.

One of the classes he had enjoyed when he went to school in London.

Professor Seymore looked up to the rest of the class. "Has anyone read it before?" she asked.

The largest part of the classroom kept silent. So did he, he didn't to draw the attention on him. He succeeded, until Professor Seymore named him.

"Mr. Ambers? You have been to a Muggle school before, haven't you? Are you familiar with the play?"

It made him sigh. So much for laying low.

"I've read a fair share of Shakespeare - the author, when I went to school in London, Professor," he explained.

Professor Seymore seemed genuinely excited he went to a Muggle high school. "Could you name a line from the play?" she asked.

Benedict took a glance to the rest of the classroom. Somehow, he'd expected they would be making fun of him, but seemed interested as well.

"The course of true love never did run smooth," he started, trying to remember how the play started.

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind. And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind."

"Very impressive. I didn't know you were well-read," Samantha complimented him as they walked out of Muggle Studies, on their way to the Great Hall, followed by Everett, Adelaide and Nellie.

Benedict shrugged. "I don't think I'm that well read," he commented. "It was a nice subject to learn about though. I've been taught from a different perspective. To see this one is refreshing."

"Do you think Cupid is painted blind?" she asked as they entered the Great Hall.

"Samantha!" He turned around and saw Adelaide giving a stern look to the Ravenclaw.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" she asked.

"I do think true love also means falling for someone's personality instead of their appearance alone," Benedict concluded before seating at the end of one of the tables.

"Can we please quit talking love and focus on something more exciting? Such as the Halloween party in Hogsmeade this weekend?" Everett commented. "Do you guys have any idea what you'll be wearing?"

Halloween party? In Hogsmeade?

"I didn't know there was a party this weekend," Benedict said while opening the books he needed for finishing his homework.

"Oh it's such a treat! Sirona hosts a Halloween party at the Three Broomsticks every year!" Samantha exclaimed.

"It is said even Ominis Gaunt attends, and he hates parties such as these. And I heard Poppy and Sebastian are going together," Adelaide whispered a bit quieter than the regular volume.

Was Poppy attending a party? They had met a short while ago, but it seemed not very likely she would be into this kind of social gatherings.

"Poppy is attending with Sebastian?" Benedict asked while dipping his quill in the ink. "I thought she wasn't into these kind of things. She doesn't seem to have a lot of friends."

"Except for you," Everett remarked. "You two are seen a lot  in the Forest together. What were you doing there?"

He figured it was best not to mention Highwing.

"Poppy helped me catching up with History of Magic. I still have to catch up four years full of Charms, Potions, Herbology, Astronomy, and then I don't even mention the extracurriculars. She was kind enough to help me."

"But the forest is still a peculiar place to study," Nellie mentioned. Benedict sighed. He thought it was a waste of his time to defend himself.

Just now it hit him Poppy was going with Sebastian.

"But, Sebastian and Poppy? They are friends right?"

Samantha couldn't contain her laughter. "Oh dear.. Didn't you know? Sebastian and Poppy briefly dated in their second year. It was adorable. They broke up because her crazy Hippogriff attacked Sebastian and she chose it's side. Quite the scandal of the year."

Dated? Was she kidding him?

For a moment he didn't know what to say. Sebastian and Poppy? She had told him he was the first who introduced him to Highwing. It didn't make sense. She wouldn't purposefully lie to him. She simply couldn't have. Or didn't she simply have the courage to tell him?

Benedict sighed only and wrote a few lines from his homework regarding Muggle Studies on English poetry, trying to ignore the conversation that was held next to him.

"Would that mean they would be together again? They do seem very friendly lately. I've seen them exchanging glances during Charms class," Adelaide said.

Benedict couldn't ignore he had seen that as well. And Poppy told him she and Sebastian were on friendly terms. Of course Poppy had the right to have multiple friends, but he couldn't help but be a bit jealous.

He clenched his teeth, trying not to assume anything. He figured it would probably be best to simply ask if there was something going on between the two of them. He didn't think she would lie to him if he asked.

"Benedict? Are you going to the party?" Everett asked. It made Benedict look up from his books. He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Maybe. I'll probably be busy with all of my homework and assignments.. I'm not sure if I can make it."

"Oh come on! It will be fun! We could go together," Adelaide exclaimed in excitement. "Even you ought to have a bit of fun during the year. School is more than dusty books and neverending essays."

There was probably some truth in that, but still. He looked towards Adelaide's pleading eyes. Before he could say something, Samantha spoke up.

"Hey! What about me? We agreed to go together!" Samantha intruded. He suddenly felt guilty for snatching Adelaide away from Samantha.

"If you promised Samantha, you should go with her. I'll probably won't be going anyway." Benedict looked at his pocket watch and sighed. "I've got to run anyway. I'll see you guys around."

He grabbed his books and stuff before leaving the Great Hall, his mind full of thoughts. He had no reason to be jealous of Sebastian. He didn't see Poppy that way.. Did he?

I agree with Benedict on this statement.
If they have both good looks and personality well then thats just a bonus.
