Chapter; 19

Reece looked at me and sighed. He flung an arm around my shoulders and started to walk back to the music room.

'You go back, I'll just chill out here and get some air' I said while slowing down the walking pace I was currently walking.

Reece looked at me for a while. 'you sure?' he asked, making sure I knew what I wanted to do.

I bit my lip and nodded my head 'Yeah, now go and see the boys.' I told him.

'Okay Amber, don't do anything silly' he said, fixing his fringe. I didn't reply but he got the drift.

He started walking backwards and waved 'see you soon.' he said before turning his back and continued walking.

I breathed out heavily and walked around to the edge of the building. I kept my head at the ground, looking at the dirt my old shoes were kicking up.

I stopped when I heard Olivia's voice from around the corner. I listened into her conversation with Alex, one of her other friends.

Alex was actually quite nice to me, I went to primary school with him. Although he changed once he started to know Olivia, he still gives

me a little smile when he sees me.

'I don't know who he's dating now. I have a feeling it's Amber' she paused for a while

'Who ever it is, they wont be with him for long, because he's going to 'cheat' on them with me' she said, empathizing 'cheat'

'What's so important about him Olivia?' Alex questioned her, another long pause held.

'Another way to ruin Amber' she laughed. Alex sighed. 'Leave the girl alone'

'Does someone have a little crush' Olivia said in a baby tone to Alex.

'She's suffered enough. I don't know if you've been told, but her mum killed herself recently, leave her alone ' Alex snapped.

Olivia stayed silent. I covered my mouth so they couldn't hear my breathing. 'I will tell Amber about this ' Alex said harshly.

'You wouldn't' Hissed Olivia.

'What are you going to do Olivia? Try and bribe me with sex again? Not going to work.'

I laughed to myself. Once they stayed silent I heard foot steps come towards the corner I was hiding behind so I stayed silent and ran a quick pace.

After about 2 minutes, of thinking and wondering I saw Alex on his lonesome with his iPod in. We smiled at each other like usual before Alex pulled me aside.

His firm grip was placed in my wrist and he was scurrying along. He was quite tall and brown, big brown eyes and silky brown hair that fell into a side fringe.

'I have to tell you something.' he said quickly before pulling me behind a building.

Alex explained everything to me, I already knew but I obviously couldn't say that.

I stared at him, he raised his eyebrows waiting for my response, 'I uh, thank you Alex ' I said trying to get my words out . He smiled gratefully 'I better tell Reece' I said while getting up an went to walk away.

'Amber?' I heard Alex call from behind me. I turned around. 'Sorry about your mum, she uh, was a great woman' Alex said fidgeting with his hands.

'Thanks ' I smiled, nodded my head and walked off.

'So Olivia said that? ' Reece questioned, I nodded my head into his chest.

'Ugh. Ignore her. Trust me, she tries anything and I'll tell you' Reece said looking at the roof
