Isagi was an idiot. Isagi really was an idiot and Rin knew he was. It's just that he wasn't expecting himself to be the one dragging him away from whatever dumb thing he had gotten himself into and taking care of him. It wasn't like Rin at all. Especially since he basically despised him. Whether it was on or off the field he pissed Rin off, trying to surpass him constantly then acting all friendly afterwards.

On top of that, he wasn't like that only towards Rin but to everyone else and, for some reason, that also seemed to piss Rin off. Meeting his pretty blue eyes in the middle of a game, watching him celebrate winning after a match by hugging Bachira and jumping on Nagi and all that, seeing a fraction of his smooth skin and toned body when he wiped the sweat off his face with the hem of his shirt; these were only few of the other things that pissed Rin off.

So why..? Why was the very same person, who pissed Rin off, leaning against him and letting him support his body as they walked on the sidewalk? Rin definitely didn't know the answer to that.

It had all started a couple of days ago. Thursday afternoon, after practice. It was announced that the football team would be going to Germany for a match with another university that their university was in contact with. Every few months the football team would be going to different states or countries for matches and for most of the players it was a nice change of pace and so was it for Rin. He grabbed the papers that they had to fill in, just for the sake of formality and started walking towards the exit of the training hall and outside the facility to go to his dorm. Not long after he had left, he started hearing the steps of someone else other than himself, fastening their pace to approach him.

It was a daily occurrence now. Isagi tailing behind him after practice, since their dorm rooms were in the same building. He hadn't grown tired of Rin not answering or just shrugging him off when he asked questions so after a while Rin had started entertaining him, not enough to have proper conversations though. For the first time Rin was the one talking first "Are you planning on following me after every practice for the rest of the year?". Isagi caught up to him soon enough and they started walking side by side rather than Rin looking like a tour guide by walking a few meters in front and Isagi walking behind him.

"Why not? It's not like you ever walk with someone else." He was right and that didn't bother Rin, not even a little bit. He liked his personal space and didn't need idle chit-chat to pass the time while walking to his room. He did used to listen to some music on the way but ever since Isagi had started tagging along, he had to stop putting on his earbuds. A certain someone liked to tug on his arm when he didn't get any kind of reaction to his questions and Rin thought giving up on listening to music was a better idea than having to slap Isagi's hand away every single time. Taking Rin's lack of answer as cue Isagi continued "Maybe you'll find some friends in Germany, huh?" Rin didn't answer that either.

"You're not doing yoga today?", did this guy never give up? Rin should've gotten used to it at this point. "No, I already did it in the morning." he only muttered and honestly that reply had too much information in it for Rin's liking. Isagi had not only started following him to the dorms but he also joined him when he did yoga after practices. His reasoning was 'I get the feeling that if I chase you I'll get stronger..". It was fine as long as he didn't disturb Rin, but of course he did. Rin had to hold back the urge to choke Isagi to death after he fell onto him while trying to replicate his handstand and had to opt to furiously grabbing onto his collar instead.

Isagi let out an understanding 'ooh' and Rin was expecting a 'Why didn't u tell me?' but the other didn't make any comments. He didn't understand why Isagi was with him most of the time anyway. He got along with pretty much the whole football team and their other peers in classes. He could've hanged out with Bachira, he seemed to be his closest friend, or with anyone else really. It didn't take long for them to reach the dormitory or Rin just didn't notice how much time had passed since he was busy questioning why Isagi chose to walk and spend time with him. They got inside and Rin proceeded to head to the upper floor not saying goodbye and leaving Isagi to head to his own room on the ground floor. Although Rin didn't say goodbye, Isagi said a quick "See you later!", because of course he did, he always did.

The next day, Rin made sure to eat a proper breakfast, attended the only lecture he had on that day and spent the rest of the time getting his stuff ready for the match in Germany. Their flight was in the afternoon and they would be arriving pretty late because of the duration of the flight. Rin was just hoping that he'd have a room to himself at the hotel they were staying because the last time they went for a match he had to stay with Shidou and that hadn't ended well.

After going through all the procedures and boarding the plane (he always took the window seat) Rin noticed that he was seated next to Aryu. He didn't mind the guy really, sat next to him in one of his classes and they rarely chatted. After the first hour, Aryu's hair care routine talk started boring him so he started scrolling on the touch screen he had in front of him to see if he could find a horror film he could enjoy. Just as he was going to put on his earbuds, his ears caught on the conversation going on in the row behind him.

It was Isagi.

He was talking in a whispery voice to not disturb the others and Bachira who probably was sitting right next to him was replying without really caring about his tone. "I heard we're gonna go to a club to celebrate after the match tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to that." Bachira said excitedly. "Oh really?" Isagi replied, Rin couldn't help but listen in. "Yeah.. Remember when Nagi jokingly said he wanted to go to a club to celebrate after winning our last match? Reo took that too literally and he's renting a club for the night for the whole team." he chuckled and Isagi continued on but Rin didn't feel like listening to the rest of their conversation and finally pressed the play button on the screen.

The film was pretty average, not even scary and Rin got bored of it halfway through but finished it nonetheless. He tried to get some sleep and watched as the sky changed from a hazy orange to complete darkness. After their arrival, they drove in a bus to the hotel and luckily everyone were given separate rooms. Rin went straight to bed after taking a quick shower to get a good sleep for the match the next day.

It was a draw, 3-3. If it wasn't for the other teams last minute goal, it was going to be their win. Rin had heard about that Kaiser guy before on the opposing team, he was the one who scored that last goal, assisted by this other guy who Rin heard Kaiser call out to as 'Ness'. The locker room was filled with chatter and everyone seemed to be frustrated. Some were still talking about the match while others had already started talking about the said celebration at a club, Rin on the other hand only wanted to head to his hotel room and rest.

He changed and got ready to leave and started waiting at the lobby of the venue when he saw two people in the distance on the far end of the room, a Blondie with blue ends and someone familiar with black hair. Why was Kaiser standing so close to Isagi, especially with that grin on his face? He couldn't see the shorter boy's expression though since his back was turned to him. The scene was making Rin's eyes itch for some reason, not really a pleasant feeling. What got on Rin's nerves the most, however, was when Kaiser's hand moved from his side to Isagi's chin. The raven was quick to push his hand away. Rin was debating whether he should go back into the locker room or intrude on whatever the two had going on. That was when everyone started getting out to get back to their hotel so Rin chose to follow the swarm of people to the bus.

It wasn't okay after he had arrived at the hotel and it still wasn't okay when he was in his room because he had heard in the bus that some of the players of the opposing team were going to be attending their celebration, the celebration which Rin was planning on not going to. He didn't know what to do. He could guess who was going to be there, of course Kaiser was going to be there and he also didn't know why he cared this much about it. The thought of Isagi spending time with Kaiser in a club was not painting a good picture in his head. He just kept wondering why he cared so much. There were too many 'why?'s in his head.
