This is a fictional universe where cat-people exist in our present world, the species of cat-people appear as human but with the inclusion of cat-like physical features such as cat ears, cat tail, sharp teeth, and claws, they are able to understand and speak human language but the majority of their personalities and actions are similar to an actual cat. Most of the cat-people aren't seen as equal to humans, rather they are equal to actual cats. If able to tame the cat-people, they can be kept as pets. The species is extremely rare and majority of humans do not know their existence but rather know them as a myth. 

Miky is a young male cat-person, his cat-like features resemble a calico cat. He lives in the back of an alleyway in a quiet and void of people part of a city. He has grown up on the streets and has been abused for the majority of his life, by both strangers and people he used to trust, his personality is distrusting of anyone, he will usually hiss and claw at those who attempt to come into contact with him, but will immediately drop his guard once kindness is shown to him. 

Thomas is an average guy who works an average office job, he lives alone in his apartment and feels lonely majority of the time, he recently moved cities because of his job so he has no one to hang out with, his workplace is near his home so he usually walks to work, sometimes through the quiet part of the city where Miky lives if its during peak hours on the main path, and he decides to take a longer route to work. 

The story starts when Thomas walks past an old bowl of water and a bowl of old cat food on the side of an alleyway, Thomas thinking that may be a stray cat in the area decides to buy some cat food and replace the old cat food as a small act of kindness. The next day, Thomas notices the bowl of cat food empty, something has clearly eaten it, and Thomas soon makes this a routine where he would buy leave some cat food for a stray cat he has never met.

He approached the bowls cautiously, sniffing at the food before taking a small bite. It tasted better than anything he had eaten in a while, and he felt his belly grow warm with satisfaction.

The human kept coming back every day, leaving food and water for him. Miky started to look forward to his visits, waiting for him to appear so he could eat his fill. He never got too close to the human, but he appreciated the small act of kindness. Miky started to feel a sense of trust towards the human, and he would sometimes watch him from a distance, his tail twitching with curiosity.

As the days went on, Miky started to feel less wary of the human. He would sometimes venture closer to him, his ears perked up with interest. He started to realize that not all humans were bad, and that some of them could be kind too. Miky didn't know what the future would bring, but he felt grateful for the small act of kindness that had changed his life.
