For their first date, Sarah took Emily to a fancy restaurant downtown. They dressed up in their nicest clothes and held hands as they walked through the rain-soaked streets.
Over dinner, they talked and laughed, and Emily felt like she was seeing Sarah in a whole new light. She was smart and witty, with a sense of humor that made Emily feel like anything was possible.
After they finished eating, Sarah suggested they take a walk by the river. It was still raining, but they didn't care as they strolled along the water's edge, talking and holding hands.
As they walked, Sarah stopped suddenly and turned to Emily. "Can I kiss you?" she asked, her eyes searching Emily's face.
Emily felt a shiver run down her spine as she nodded, and Sarah leaned in to kiss her softly on the lips. It was a gentle, tentative kiss, but it left Emily feeling like she was floating on air.
