On my walk home from my latest mission, I turned down a rather suspicious alley way I happened to be rather familiar with. If it was any normal person, I would highly recommend taking a safer, less crime ridden route. As I was NOT a normal human, maybe not even a human at all, this to me was simply the quickest route to my 'house', which I needed to get too quite urgently. I had felt my bandages starting to loosen during the fight after receiving a (very weak) punch from my enemy, and while that did happen occasionally in fights, normally my partner wasn't there, so I could just slip away for a moment to tighten them. This time however, Chuuya had been there, so slipping away was not an option, unless I wanted to get an absolute ear full later, and I did not need that with my current headaches from all the damn blood loss and insomnia. I've even had to start using concealer to hide my eye-bags from Mori-san, who, if he found out, would most likely inject me with that nasty sedative. It was after the mission, that everything fell apart. Chuuya and I had to return to the Mafia HQ to give our detailed reports on the incident. Chuuya must have noticed how jumpy I was being, as he hadn't yelled at me about all the things I messed up our mission just yet, suprisingly. You may be thinking, 'Oh, it's just some bandages coming loose, how bad could it be?' Extremely. There were two main reasons it was so terrible, one being the fact that if they came off fully I could bleed out, nevermind all the judgement I would get for whats under there. Two being how sensitive my skin was underneath. Honestly, it is pretty easy to predict, but most people don't know the extent to its softness. My skin had been wrapped up in bandages, with no light, for over 6 years, making it  frighteningly sensitive, especially to touch, which Chuuya found out for the first time when he touched the side of my arm to get my attention. I remember I visibly flinched, and probably looked pretty startled (embarrassing, am I right?) Chuuya had narrowed his eyes, and opened his mouth to say something, before apparently thought better of it. Chuuya and I walked into Mori-san's office, and gave our reports on everything that happened on our mission. When I voiced the mess-ups I made, Mori-san just stared at me, his eyes glaring with a cold, menacing look. 'Dazai-kun, may I 'speak' with you later tonight?' His expression did not change a bit, but I most likely visibly shook before composing myself. 'Of... Of course boss' I mentally slapped myself for stuttering, which did not slip the attention Mori, whose look just became colder. I hoped Chuuya hadn't noticed, but when I shot him a quick glance I saw he was staring at me, an odd look on his face. As we stepped out, I attempted to change direction to get to the mafia infirmary, to grab some more bandages, as I was almost out at home, and maybe a sewing kit. As I turned, my short ginger partner grabbed my wrist, most likely wanting to ask questions about earlier, and my arm exploded in pain. Had I not been trained to endure tortures far more painful than this, there is no doubt I would have screamed. Black dots appeared around my vision, which disappeared as I shook my head, my headache coming back at full force. I quickly ripped my arm out of his grip, (hopefully, but probably not) keeping a nonchalant look on my face. I quickly pulled my sleeve down, gritting my teeth as it dragged over my already pained flesh, so if it started bleeding he hopefully wouldn't see the extent of it. I turned around to face him again, and I saw him looking at his hand with a worried expression, his eyes wide and his mouth parted in an '0' shape. I glanced down at his hand, and my blood turned to ice. His hand had smudges of dark, almost black liquid on it. My blood. He looked at me, an extremely worried and confused expression on his face. I slowly backed away, not even bothering to attempt to hide the guilty and  extremely pained expression that crossed my face this time, as my brain was not thinking clearly with all the aches and burns that were assaulting my body with pain. I then turned and ran, leaving my partner standing there in shock and worry.

As I was sitting at my favourite bar, I was wondering what the hell was going on with Dazai as of late? He seemed totally rattled after getting hit by the enemy, he had seemed rather anxious before, but thats when he changed the most. Luckily it hadn't been a bad hit, he wasn't even sore from it, or so he told me, but something HAD changed then, as he became nervous, and even more cautious than before, wincing slightly whenever his arm brushed against something. He was even making slip-ups, which Dazai NEVER did. I remember, after we got to HQ to give Boss our reports, I had sat down with the brunet as we waited for Mori to call us in. When he eventually did, I turned around to my deep-in-thought partner, and lightly touched his arm, and he FLINCHED, Dazai had a panicked, uncomfortable expression on his face. I looked at him worriedly, frowning slightly. 'Why had he flinched when I touched him?' We then entered the boss's office, as usual he was sitting behind his desk, a cold smile on his face, while Elise-Chan was sitting and drawing off to the side. We began re-counting our mission, and when we got to the part with Dazai's slip-up, I glanced at him. He was staring directly at Mori, looking slightly pale as he was recounting the mistakes he made. I spared a glance at the boss, and he had a dark aura coming off of him, one he had never seen before. 'Dazai, may I speak with you tonight?' the boss had emphasized the word 'speak' and I saw my partner shake slightly. 'Of... Of course boss', he had stuttered, and I looked at him curiously and worriedly. As we stepped out, the brunet had turned, obviously changing directions to go someplace else in the building. Before he could walk off however, I grabbed his wrist, wanting to ask some questions. What I did not expect however, was a flicker of pain in his eyes, and I noticed he was gritting his teeth as he quickly ripped his arm out of my grip. I stared at my hand blankly as he pulled down his sleeve, wincing slightly as he did so and I saw a smudge of blood. His blood. My mind went blank, then 100s of thoughts rushed through my head. I wanted to say something, but I physically couldn't. I watched as he turned around and noticed the blood on my hand. His 'mask' of emotions completely fell away, leaving a guilty, pained look on his face, then he backed away, turned and ran, leaving my head swimming with worry and anger, not directed to him of course, but to the man in the office behind us. Despite Dazai's teasing, Chuuya was not dumb. He could piece things together. Dazai's nervousness while speaking to Mori, the blood draining from his face whenever he messed up, his rather obvious shaking when Mori asked to 'speak' with him, and his stutter. Something was going on, which was damaging his partner greatly, and he would get to the bottom of it
