3rd POV

It was a calm, peaceful night. The stars and moon shone brightly in the sky, and all the mobs were sleeping peacefully in the little village Herobrine had built for all his students.

All except one...

Skeleton lay in bed, shaking and turning over in his sleep. He was having a nightmare; a terrible one.

"No... not them... please..." He begged, as he shivered even under the light grey blanket. He'd been having nightmares a lot recently, but they had always been the same thing: his parents and sister dying to a wolf pack. But tonight...

Tonight he was having the worst nightmare of his life. He'd experienced nightmares before, but it had never happened for this many nights in a row. And they never scared him like this.

He kept whispering pleads in his sleep, not having anything or anyone he could turn to for comfort.

Wither's POV

I had been awake since 9 am yesterday, and it was currently 2:35 am. Wither skeletons naturally don't need as much sleep as other mobs.

I was just on my balcony, looking at the night sky. Even though I preferred it darker than it was now, I always found it beautiful.

I found myself thinking of Skeleton. I smiled and blushed a little bit as I thought of his beautiful sky blue eyes that always shone, his smile, the adorable face he made when he made a mistake on a test...

I had liked him for almost a year now, but still had never told him. As the time gets longer, I get more confused on whether my feelings for him are just a long-time crush or if I'm actually in love with him.

But he probably didn't feel the same way about me...

Now that I was thinking about him, I had the feeling I should check on him. He doesn't know this, but I sometimes teleport to his house and check to see if he's okay. He was always sound asleep, but I hadn't checked on him in a while.

Trusting my gut, I used my hacking power to teleport to his house. I looked over at him, expecting him to be sound asleep like he always was.

But seeing him this time crushed me.

He turned over restlessly in his sleep, shivering even under the blanket. I could see tears streaking down his milk-colored cheeks as he silently cried.

"Please, not him. Anyone but him..." he whispered in his sleep. He sounded terrified and heartbroken. It hurt my heart to see him like this.

I debated whether or not to wake him up. Would he think I'm a creep for teleporting to his house and checking on him in the middle of the night?

As I looked at him again, I made my choice.

"Skeleton! Skeleton, Wake up!" I whisper-shouted, jiggling his shoulder.

Slowly, he stopped shaking, and finally opened his breathtaking sky blue eyes.

"W-Wither?"

Skeleton's POV

I was having an awful nightmare, the kind where you know you're dreaming but can't wake yourself up.

A figure that was too fast to see had slaughtered all my friends and classmates in front of me, and only one was left: my close friend and long-time crush, Wither.

"Move, you stupid wither! Get out of the way!" The shadowed figure demanded, holding an iron sword dripping with the blood of my friends.

"If you want Skeleton, you'll have to go through me first," Wither snarled, standing between him and me.
