It was Halloween night, and four-year-old Erlo was dressed up in his favorite bunny costume. He was excited to go trick or treating with his dad, Luca, and collect as much candy as possible.
As they walked from house to house, Erlo eagerly held out his bucket for candy. Luca kept a watchful eye on his son, making sure that he didn't wander too far or get into any mischief.
As the night wore on, Erlo's bucket began to fill up with all sorts of candy. There were chocolate bars, lollipops, and bags of gummy bears. Erlo was thrilled with his haul and could hardly contain his excitement.
But as they made their way back home, Erlo's energy level began to spike. He was bouncing around and talking a mile a minute, clearly experiencing a sugar rush from all the candy he had eaten.
Luca knew that this was a common occurrence after Halloween, but he couldn't help but feel a little concerned for his son's health. He decided to check the candy that Erlo had collected to make sure that it was safe and healthy for him to eat.
Luca found that many of the treats that Erlo had received were loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients. He knew that this was not healthy for his son despite him and Erlo both having a fast metabolism it was still a safer option to cut down on the amount of candy Little Erlo was consuming.
Luca talked to other parents in the neighborhood and encouraged them to offer atleast some candies with lower amounts of sugar
The next Halloween Erlo was able to enjoy a more balanced selection of candies.
