Waking Up!

3- I don't have time for this!

I woke up confused again with the lights flooded the room, I don't think I'll ever get used to them. It was a restless night full of nightmares, I couldn't sleep well so now I have a headache that gets even worst with the light, I turned away so I wouldn't face the window, besides I need to see what the time is. Seven thirty, I have only half an hour to get ready to school, knowing that fact I quickly got up pulling the sheets off me, I looked again at the alarm to confirm the time when I noticed a piece of paper in the pillow next to me "Considering your situation I waited for the party to end so I could leave, and for more reservation I closed your bedroom from the outside and rolled the key under the door; JUST TO MAKE SURE... Atem"

   How did that note get into here? First I was confounded but then I remembered a glimpse of Atem sitting in my bed, Atem! It was the spirit that resides in Yugi; now that it all came back to me I became a little embarrassed, I invented him to my bedroom and he almost spent the night in the bed next to me.

   Regardless of my bedroom, the apartment was so filthy, the way they left it after yesterday's party, I don't even know who they were but they must be friends of the apartment's owner. Beer glasses are shattered all over the place, the plastic cups, some used napkins, I even found someone's underwear; maybe it was smart from Atem to lock me inside the bedroom after all!

   Immediately I started cleaning; I was aware that by doing this I would be late for school but its ok, I don't have another time to clean; I get back from the café late and it would be exhausting to clean then. Only now I understand why James Honda -the owner- lets me stay for free in here; he considers me a resident house keeper whom he doesn't have to pay for.

   I went to school as I finished. When I got there the hall was empty, I checked the time and I found that the second class has already started five minutes ago. It was geography with Joey, so I easily remembered where the class is and headed there directly.

   "You're late Miss Black..." the teacher said opining the door for me.

   "I'm sorry sir; I still find it hard to recall classes locations" maybe it's not wise to interrupt my teacher while reprimanding me for being late, but I wouldn't let him ask whether I have a late permission or not, besides, I can't give him a reason to think that I just came from home, the little he knows the better.

   "It's ok Miss; but make sure you don't do it again" and he pointed to me to get in. I found the seat next to Joey is empty so I took my place in it.

   "Where have you been? We were worried about you." Joey whispered.

   "I had some things to do." I said taking out my books.

   "Well thank god you're fine then." He said cheerfully as always. He can't be that nice; no one could be! I simply ignored him last night but still he got worried because I was late for school today?

   After the class was finished we both went out, we have ten minutes before the second class starts. I saw Yugi and couldn't help thinking about last night, he owes me an explanation and I might not find him alone later, so I figured now is the most convenient time to talk to him about it. I took the advantage that Joey is talking to some girls and quickly I walked towards him, he turned around and saw me coming, and as he did I saw Atem appearing before him.

   "Hey Samantha are you ok! You were very tired last night when I left; we were afraid that something happened to you after." Yugi said.

   "No I'm fine..." I answered him but I was looking at Atem; apparently Yugi noticed that I am a little bit taken by Atem's presence because suddenly he became the one  standing in front of me and Yugi disappeared, I can't see his spirit either, maybe he thought it's better if he retreat and give us privacy.
