Secret in the shadows ( the lost Boys )

Dead Meat

" Star, Star wake up". Star woke to Michael shaking her " I'm getting you out of here". Star shook her head " take Laddie first please" she pleaded. Michael walked over to the small room that was pitch black with only a couple candles seeing Laddie and Maddie cuddled up beside him. Michael walked back over to Star "Star what about Maddie". Star stood up, but she was weak. " She must of gotten scared and came in here. Get her to, but cover her up fully don't let any sunlight touch her or they will feel it. 

Michael got Laddie out to the car taking Star next, he gathered up a bunch of blankets wrapping the small girl in them covering her body, grabbing another blanket to throw over her for the ride home just to be safe. Meanwhile the Frog brothers and Sam had found the four vampires sleeping . Marko was listening in sensing something was about to happen. Before Edgar could stake him he let go of the pole pushing the two brothers. Sam shot him in the face with a water gun full of holy water making his face burn. 

The rest of the boys had awaken due to the noise. David looking down not seeing his sister on her bed he screamed " you're dead meat" the Frog brothers and Sam ran toward the exit trying to get away from the vampires. David grabbed Sam's ankle pulling him back into the cave. The Frog brothers pulled Sam into the sunlight burning David's hand. David yelled in agony looking back up at the young hunters " tonight" he said as a tear dropped from his eye.

Paul was going insane, pacing back and forth " why did they take her? What did she do? She can't even defend herself she's five years old! What if they throw her out in the sun, what are we going to do? " David groaned " Paul shut the hell up we are going to get her back, for now we need to rest." Marko laughed " rest? You want us to rest when our baby sister is out there by herself. She doesn't leave our side ever. Can you imagine how she feels right now". Yes I can and I want to have plenty of energy to get her back when it's dark and we have the advantage. The boys nodded heading back up to go to sleep.

The Emerson House

Running into the house Michael carrying Star, Edgar carrying Laddie, and Alan carrying Maddie. " Michael". Mike turned around facing his grandfather " do you know the rule about filling up the car with gas when you take it without asking". Michael  sighed " No grandpa", his grandfather nodded " well now you do". Michael turned walking back up the stairs laying Star in the bed he fell to the floor exhaustion setting in. Laddie and Maddie where also put on the bed, pulling the blinds closed so sunlight couldn't get in. 

\2 Hours Later/

The sound of a horn woke the two older half vampires, " they'll be coming for Laddie and Maddie wont they". Michael walked around the bed to Star " they'll be coming for all of us". Star moved over Maddie shaking Laddie " Laddie wake up". The young boy woke up looking around not recognizing the room he was in, he turned to his side seeing his sleeping best friend bundled up in a bunch of blankets. He moved her so she was leaning on him as he hugged her close. " Laddie I think it is dark enough to take the blankets off of her". Laddie removed the blanket uncovering her face, she looked so peaceful he didn't want to wake her up. Silently waiting for the attack , Sam heard his dog Nanook barking outside and ran out. Michael ran after hid brother helping him get his dog off the leash. 

Star screamed out ' Michael there coming. ' Take them upstairs and put her in the closet, lock the door'. Alan grabbed Maddie as she started to cry, he put her in the closet locking the door behind him. She heard Star screaming at Laddie to run. She started to get a mild headache before a voice came through her head " Mads where are you sissy".  ' Paul?'. 

" Yeah babe it's me where are you"? Maddie started crying harder before responding ' in the closet'. The door was thrown open scaring the young girl, Paul bent down pulling her into his chest relaxing as she gripped his coat harder every time she took a breath. He picked her up and continued on with his mission. 

Walking into the bathroom where the frog brothers where, Maddie looked down at the bathtub full of garlic and  scrunched her nose. " Garlic don't work boys" Paul laughed ' try holy water death breath'. The frog brothers threw the water at Paul's face making him drop Maddie into the water. Her screams echoed through the house. Paul turned seeing his sister screaming in pain he moved to get her out putting his hands in the water, the water burnt his hands making him pull back " ow shit". He put his hands back in not caring about the burning, pulling his sister out of the water. Her screams had not filtered as she screamed in pain. The frog brothers ran out of the bathroom feeling incredibly guilty. Paul looked down at his sisters skin, it was red, peeling and some parts had been burned off to the bone, his hands looked the same way. Marko made his way into the bathroom holding Edgar, he had blood all down his chest after feeding off of Alan. Marko threw Edgar towards Paul and he dug in. Marko moved to Maddie slitting his wrist moving it to her mouth. 

She was far to weak to move so Marko put his wrist to her mouth messaging her throat helping her swallow. They stayed that way for a awhile, Paul watched his baby sister gain some strength back until she was able to drink by herself. Marko moved his wrist away, he couldn't giver her anymore and she was still weak and in pain. Dwayne walked in looking at Marko understanding what he needed to do. Wrapping Maddie in a towel picking her up and cutting his wrist, he held her like a baby . She gently drank from Dwayne as he walked down the stairs seeing the Emerson brothers and Star tied up and Laddie sitting on the couch. 

David saw the state his sister was in and grew angry . " Do you see what you have done", Michael looked over sadly he never meant to hurt the little girl. " Now all we have to do is wait for dear ole mother and father to get home".
