C H A P T E R |06

AURORA

~~A month and half later~~

It's been a full month and half since everything happened between us and since my ex mother in law delivered the news to me about Lucas death.  The morning after she called I went to her house to check up on her and get the full story about what happened to Lucas,and oh boy I wish I didn't because that woman hates me.

It turned out that it was a murder-suicide. Sofia shoot and killed Lucas before taking her own life.

I didn't know what went wrong between them but his mother told me that it was because of me. She said that Lucas was planning on leaving Sofia and running back to me. She also said I was not welcome to her son's funeral. I was stunned by her words because it felt like she was blaming me for the death of her son. I regretted going there to see her. I knew that she never liked me even though that I have never done anything to her but I never thought she would despise me to this point.

Seeing that I was not needed by her I left her house without saying anything and I haven't heard anything from her and I'm happy because I want nothing to do with her.

I just come downstairs to the kitchen from the bedroom.I took a sit at the table as I watch Alexander make food for the both of us. I can't help but admire his feature as he works around the kitchen and show off his cooking skills. I let out a soft giggle as I watched him.

"Why do I feel like you're trying to impress me by showing off?" I could not help but smile.

"Only the best for a beautiful woman."he smirked at me and winked.

"You are such a dork Mr Knight." I giggled shaking my smile. "Is this what you do a lot? Impressing every beautiful woman?"i asked jokenly cocking my brow at him.

"Honestly no. I never brought anyone I date to my house before let alone cook for them. You're the first person. Not even my parents."

"Oh really?"i let out a soft smile as I felt my cheeks heat up by what he said. "I didn't know that this was a date though."

"Well believe me this is a date Miss Romano. We've been going out for drinks and movies. We've  sleeping at each other's house everyday since the first time we slept together. And you're now wearing clothes. So I consider this a date."he chuckled.

"Okay fine. If you insist even though you've never asked me."i playfully rolled my eyes at him.

He laughed before getting back to cooking. Even though things feels kind of moving fast between us I can't help but feel happy that he considered this a date. I was beginning to worry that I was just a fling to him or the flavour of the month.

"Dinner is ready and served my lady."he smiled at me before placing a plate of spaghetti and meatballs.

"Oh wow this looks delicious ,thank you."i said smiling at him and he smiled back before taking a sit across me.

I took my fork and took a first bite of the food. I instantly groaned as the taste trickled my taste buds. The food was very good. He really knows how to cook.

"Ohmygod this the best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever tasted in my life. This is really good,Alex."i looked up at him with a shocked but impressed expression.

"Well by the way you moan and groan I take it you like the food?"

"I love them."

We continued eating while keeping the conversation flowing. I was really getting comfortable around him and that made it easy for us to talk without things getting awkward. After we were done eating I grabbed our empty plates and washed them before making my way back to him.

I smiled at him.

"Are you spending the night here or you're going back to your house?"he asked as he pulled me to his chest making my heart beat fast by his touch.

"I'm spending the night."his hands found their way to my hips down to my ass." If that's okay with you though."i quickly said making it known that I can leave if he wants me to. I don't want it to seem like I'm clingy.

"You know I want you to stay Aurora."he pulled my head away from his chest meeting my eyes."Let's go watch a movie."

He made us drinks and snacks then we went to the movie room with me behind him. I couldn't help look at his ass as he walked towards the room. He really had a nice ass for a man.
I found myself licking my lips.

"Are you looking at my ass, Miss Romano?" He chuckled,turning his head to face me with a smirk.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."i denied his claims. There was no way I am gonna confess to looking at his ass.

"If you insist." He winked and opened his theater room door.

We sat down and picked a movie.

Halfway through the second movie I was now getting tired and it was pretty late.

"You look tired.Do you want to go to sleep?"i nodded.

"Alright then,lets go to bed."he switched off the tv and got up. He reached his hand to me and helped me off the couch. We then linked our hands together and made our way upstairs to his bedroom.

Seeing that I was too tired to use the stairs we used the elevator.

"Thank you for tonight,I really enjoyed myself."  I said as we walked inside the bedroom.

"I'm glad to hear that. I also enjoyed myself. I love your company." He leaned over and softly kissed me.

I whimpered into the kiss and wrapped my fingers in his hair making him grunt. One of his hand ran down my waist,resting on my hip. The kiss felt amazing. It was not rushed but it felt really different.

After some time we both pulled away. We were both breathing heavy.

"That was..amazing. I really love kissing you."

"I love kissing you too."i smiled widely at him.

He pecked my lips again before we both got under covers. After turning off the light he slipped his arm around my body,spooning me.

"Goodnight Alex."i whispered tiredly.

"Goodnight sunshine."

I closed my eyes and fell asleep with a smile on my face. It felt good to be this close to a man after my divorce.
