At the dance Elora stayed to the side looking around for Simon till she saw a hoard of mothers as she walked over. An announcement took place as Simon saw Elora with a smile appearing on his face walking over to her. They watched as the lights came on when Elora looked over to Daphne with a mad face and she walked over and said, "Sister? Are you ill?" Daphne glared at her brother and said, "Anthony arranged us to be married." Simon was listening and looked over to Anthony with a glare as he was thinking of marrying the young Bridgerton. "Anthony what is she talking about?" Anthony sighed and said, "You and Daphne have been arranged to marry Lord Berbrooke." Elora's mouth dropped. "You can't be serious. Do you actually believe that he ancestor had 2 wives at the same time?" Anthony nodded with that both girls walked off into the garden with Simon following with them not knowing. "I can't believe Anthony would do that. Especially when it seems Simon and I have something." Daphne turned to her sister with her hand in hers and said, "We will find a way for you out of this little sister. You will be courting Simon if its the last thing I do." That's when both of them heard a voice and it was Nigel Berbrooke which made Elora upset clearly. "Nigel leave us alone." Berbrooke scoffed as he said, "Is that the way to speak to your future husband?" Daphne walked up and said, "She will never marry and neither will I." Daphne pushed her sister behind as Nigel grabbed Daphne with her struggling Elora tried to get Nigel off. But it ended with her being slapped to the ground and this was the last straw for Simon as Daphne pushed Nigel off. Simon seemed shocked at this as he kneeled down to Elora and said, "Are you alright?" Elora nodded as Simon helped her up and put his hand around her waist. Elora eyes went wide as she looked around. "Daphne were alone. Someone will compromise us and we will ave no future suitors." Simon spoke up. "Elora, are you willing to court me?" Both girls turned to Simon and Elora said, "What?" Simon walked up to Elora and said, "If anyone asks. We wanted to meet so we asked Daphne to chaperone.' Daphne looked at Simon with a shocked Elora and said, "I don't want to push you." Simon shook his head, "Court me please?" For that Simon and Elora walked to where everyone was as they watched the couple walk to the dance floor. Anthony seemed mad about this but violet saw how Simon and Elora looked at each other as the couple danced the night away.
