CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Right now I am at home, my parents house as i was summoned by them. I was laying on the couch going through my phone when the parents walked in with mom's siblings and Nozi, i already knew what it is about. I go help mom make some refreshments.
Me : "Mom." She smiles looking up at me.
Mom : "Baby."
Me : "You could have told me, I am not ready for all this drama as yet." She sighed.
Mom : "I know but your uncle insisted." I sigh nodding then walk to the living room, I place the drinks on the table then sit down.
Khanyi : "Sleeping beauty." She kisses my cheek after pulling me to her.
Me : "Hey mama."
Khanya : "It seems like y'all grow everyday Ulu." I chuckle.
When we all settled, Mamkhulu starts.
Zamo : "As y'all see us sitting here, we were taught unity and love growing up by mama. We always made sure we love each other and support one another even when we don't agree with the other person's decisions sometimes. So with that said, we expect our kids to grow up the same way too and actually act like family that y'all are. We have never expected y'all to hate on each other like that nor treat each other like enemies, Nozi." She says looking at her with a stern look.
Khanyi : "So right now, we here to solve whatever issues y'all think y'all have with each other right now! Right here! And don't for a minute think that we will be taking sides. Siyezwana?"
Me : "Yebo mama."
Khanyi : "Nozibusiso?"
Nozi : "Yes mama."
Ncane : "Thando. Start "
Me : "I honestly have no need whatsoever with uNozi and I have never but uNozi is always going out of her way to hurt or humiliate me and I've gotten used to it."
Ncane : "Why do say so?"
Me : "Mama. UNozi, if she is not spreading whatever rumors about me then she makes it a point to always ruin my reputation and peace. Angazi nami but she has always befriended girls that hate me and hate me with them."
Ncane : "Busi?"
Nozi : "I am sorry Uluthando. I honestly was just blinded by friends."
Ncane : "Don't apologize, explain why you did all this?" She exhales
Nozi : "I guess i was just jealous of you and everything you have. I was jealous of your looks mostly because you grabbed attention everywhere even where unnecessary. I then started hating you and let my friends influence me in hating you when you started dating my crush. Remember in highschool when you had your pictures trending? Yeah I hated you more then because I thought you had betrayed me by sleeping with the guy you knew i loved."
Uncle Sante : "So you hated your sister for some stupid boy?! Uyislima yin? Heh!?!"
Uncle Lethu : "Calm down bhuti, let her finish."
Nozi : "That is why I always ruined your relationships, your boyfriends didn't really come to me, i went to them and fed them lies about you so they can switch up on you and come to me then i would make sure you find out about it." A loud thud was heard, I lift my head and Aunt'Khanya had slapped her and Nozi was crying.
Khanya : "Uyislima wena!!! Selling your body to useless boys just to prove a point?! Don't you know about communication?! Huh? Ubuzofa if you sat Thando down and talked to her?! What you did was stupid and idiotic and I only hope you never contracted any diseases mntanam ngoba i will bury you before they even kill you! Nx you disgust me!" She went back to her seat still throwing daggers at her
Uncle Lethu : "Lulu. Something you want to add?" I nod.
Me : "Nozi. You hated me all these years for nothing. I have never dated that boy in my life..."
Nozi : "There were pictures of y'all mos."
Me : "Yes, he.....I wasn't in my right state of mind then. We were given a group assignment and i was in his group with his friends. We agreed to do the assignment at his house since it was closer to school kanti...him and his friends took advantage of me. They molested me and that is when my depression was triggered and worsened. You still found joy in that , calling me a crazy bitch Nozi. You .... You hurt me so bad and I hate that i still love you as my sister. I hate that we family because i will be forced to forgive you even though i do not. I hate you and your friends. I hate you for turning the others against me because you knew I've never had the bone or gut to stand up. I am not ready to keep you close to me like you've never did me dirty." Aunt Khanyi pulls me to her chest as i cry.
Uncle Lethu : "We are sorry for your hurt Lulu, we are sorry for never taking notice or time to actually look into the matter. We are sorry for making you feel like you never mattered. You do matter, you are all pur child too and we love you to death. I am really sorry sthandwa sami." He stands up and comes to hug me tightly, he keeps me in his arms for some time before moving back to his seat. The 'meeting' continues for sometime until later. Mom and her sisters go prepare some food in the kitchen.
Uncle Lethu : "Listen. Y'all are both my girls okay? I love you both. Do y'all love your baba?"
Us : "Yes." He smiles and kisses our foreheads.
Uncle Lethu : "Then try getting along with each other for me. Go back to the inseparable squad y'all were when y'all were kids and would bully me for icecream." I giggle while Nozi chuckles.

Uncle Lethu : "Before i leave, i want to talk to you alone." He said walking in my room as i was laying down.
Me : "Okay." I sit up.
Uncle Lethu : "You know what this is about right?"
Me : "I think so."
Uncle Lethu : "Keep your love life private because that friend of yours is not your friend. She is very evil so please be vigilant and listen when being warned."
Me : "Okay thank you baba."
Uncle Lethu : "Okay. Congratulations by the way."
Me : "What you talking about?" He kisses my forehead chuckling and walks out.
