"Tonight, is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse." Elijah informs the group.
It's been a day since Elijah has told Chelsea and Elena about Klaus' curse and having a way to save the doppelganger. Chelsea didn't sleep at the Salvatore's last night. Which meant that today she was wearing her own, none restricting clothes. It made her feel more confident and less like she was about to flash the world.
"Elena said that the sun and the moon curse is fake? That's it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus." Stefan speaks up.
"Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it...he'll be a true hybrid." Elijah explains.
"Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie." Damon announces as he walks into the room.
"Damon..." Stefan sighs.
"No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying." Elena denies.
"I'll write her a great eulogy." Damon continues.
"My sister isn't dying. End of discussion Damon." Chelsea snaps.
"Of course, you would be okay with this little plan. Your soulmates get what they want, who care how it effects the rest of us." Damon snipes.
Chelsea moves to get closer to Damon ready to prove a fucking point when she feels Elijah's hand rest on her arm causing her to stop.
"That isn't going to work every time I get mad." Chelsea tells him before settling down.
"All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asks.
"Well, the ritual itself is relatively straight forward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know." Elijah answers.
"The moonstone." Stefan starts.
"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each." Elijah explains.
"And where do I fit into it?" Elena inquires.
"The final part of the ritual." Elijah states before taking a wooden box off the shelf, "Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelganger...to the point of your death."
Elijah opens the box and Chelsea takes a peek inside. There is a glass bottle, with a white translucent liquid inside it.
"That's where you come in." Elena says.
"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." Elijah informs.
"So, I'll be dead?" Elena asks.
"And then you won't." Elijah concludes.
"That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" Damon questions in disbelief. "You want to come back, what about John's ring?"
"Those rings only work on humans. The doppelganger's a supernatural occurrence. Odds are the ring won't work." Elijah points out.
"I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work Elena?" Damon queries.
"Then I guess I'll just be dead." Elena states.
Damon leaves the room at that declaration Stefan leaving after him.
"Do we know if Klaus has everything, he needs to do this? Does he have a werewolf?" Elena inquires.
"Klaus has been waiting to break this curse over a thousand years. If he doesn't already have a werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will." Elijah replies.

As the conversation quiets down the three of them can hear raised voices coming from the room Damon and Stefan are in.
"you'd think he'd understand why I'm willing to do this." Elena mutters.
"Why are you?" Elijah inquires.
"I'm the key to breaking the curse. Klaus is here because of me. If I don't stop him, then he's going to hurt people. it's that simple." Elena states.
"You know, there's a possibility this elixir won't work. I don't want to mislead you." Elijah admits.
"I know the chance I'm taking." Elena says.
"If it's any record I can feel the magic radiating from it." Chelsea says trying to reassure Elena. The brunette smile before they suddenly hear yelling.
Chelsea, Elijah and Elena walk towards the yelling to find Jenna pointing a crossbow at Alaric.
"What's going on?" Elena asks.
"It's me, Elena. I swear, okay? He let me go. Klaus let me go." Alaric announces to the group.
"Prove it." Damon says.
Alaric turns to Jenna, "okay, uh, first night you and I spent together, Jeremy walked in right when I was about to..." Alaric gets cut off by a flustered Jenna.
"Okay, it's him." She exclaims whilst lowering the cross bow.
"I really want to know what the end of that sentence was going to be." Chelsea murmurs to Elijah who pinches her arm as a small smile shows on his face.
"Why did he let you go?" Stefan asks.
"He wanted me to deliver a message. The sacrifice happens tonight." Alaric tells the room.

After that they sat Alaric down and started questioning him on what the three days, he was possessed by Klaus were like from his point of view.
"So, you don't remember anything that happened?" Stefan asks.
"No. it's like I blacked out and woke up three days later. Katherine was there." Alaric informs.
"She's under compulsion. Damon snuck her some vervain, but she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can." Stefan explains.
"Where is Damon?" Elena inquires.
"I saw him go upstairs." Jenna tells us causing Elena to head up the stairs.
"So, what else did I do?" Alaric asks.
"You sure you want the run down?" Chelsea queries.
"I would like to know what he did in my body." Alaric states.
"Okay, from the beginning, you gave a very bad history lesson, truly don't think I learned a thing. You compelled Dana to invite me to be your date to the dance, she called you hot. Which makes me wonder if Klaus compelled her to say that or if she actually finds you attractive. Not the point. Then you popped round here played I'm a normal badass vampire hunter whilst talking Klaus up which really should have been our first clue. Then you dedicated a song to me. What was next...oh up next is the fact that you tried to Kill Bonnie, called me love, which is really weird, and that word should never come out of your face again. and last but by no means least you threatened Jenna. Is that everything?" Chelsea informs Alaric.
"Oh." Alaric mutters.
Suddenly Stefan's eyes go wide and then he has disappeared and not moments later a fight can be heard. Jenna and Alaric get up and rush upstairs, Chelsea goes to follow them, but Elijah holds her back.
