Sophie glanced at her beeping imparter. She pressed the screen to silence it, rolling over to try and sleep longer.

She rolled over again and tapped the screen to scroll through her messages. There were atleast ten missed calls, most of which were from biana, a few from fitz, and one from marella. There were also a ton of texts from biana and a bunch from fitz as well. She ignored the ones from biana and clicked on Fitz's.
'Get up!'
'The view is beautiful'
'You should really open the window and let some sunlight in.'
Mostly stuff hinting to her that she should look out the window.
She glanced at the ones from biana. It was mostly 'sophie get up now!' mixed with a few others that she didnt bother to look at.
She opened her blinds by clapping and was suddenly aware of someones eyes on her. she tensed, reaching out with her mind. Understanding dawned on her.
She turned to face the window.
Thats why he wanted me to open the window?
She grabbed the latch and unlocked it swinging open the large pane to allow fitz inside.
"What in the lost cities are you foing here at 7 in the morning!"
He flashed her a smile
"Am i not allowed to check on my lovely girlfriend?"
Sophie's heart fluttered at that.
"Well there's definitely a rea-"
She was interrupted by the door bursting open and biana squealing something that sophie could not remotly understand.
Then she noticed fitz was there. She quickly covered her mouth with one hand and backed out the door with the other.
Sophie crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow
"Spit it out. Why are you here."
Fitz blushed
"Would you go to the foxfire winter dance with me?"
Sophie's eyes lit up. "Why are you acting so nervous! Of course I'm going with you. Who else would i go with?"
Fitz looked relieved.
"But why did you wait so long to ask? The dance is tonight!"
He looked down guiltily i guess i was just nervous. I should go before biana makes me."
"What noo you cant just leave me wi-" he cut her off with a kiss on the cheek and stepped into the light of his home crystal.
