"Dad, I was already doing my best to protect him!" He looked at me, angry. "Then do better! Look at him, he has gotten himself some scars." I frown. "But dad-..." I only saw his hand reaching for me, thinking he finally understands me. It follows a sound. A loud sound. That actually hurt. He slapped me. What did I do wrong again? Meanwhile, I have an almost broken arm. I can't use it for 2 week anymore. And he just casually walked out. "Palm, are you okay?" I heard a calming voice from behind. "Yes, I am." I said and smiled. "Like I already said; don't act like a hero! You already did enough." He chuckles. "How's your arm?" Khun Nueng raises his eyebrows. "Well, I have to wear this case for around 2 weeks." "At least it's not that long."Khun murmured. Then he looked aside, a little shy, almost. "Uhm... Palm. I saw your and your dad's conversation." I lift my eyebrows, just like he did earlier. "Don't worry about it. It's nothing." A little smile flashed over his lips. "Mmh, alright..."

If I just belived what he said, I'd be a joke. Of course it's nothing. I haven't known Palm that long, but long enough to be able to analyse him. I know he hides his feelings in order not to burden anyone. But... to be honest... Well... My dad always said not to beat around the Bush, but aren't I doing that? I actually... wouldn't mind him showing his actual feelings... at least when he's alone with me. Palm and I left the hospital soon after, went to get him a drink even though he insisted on me not spending money for him, but I still did it. It took some time, but he agreed. I know he still feels insecure. Unlike me, who starts feeling comfortable with people really fast once we get closer. Then, I took Palm to the place where I ride horses. I own one, too. Consider it as our first real meetup. He was watching me the whole time, I knew it.I sigh. I get to do sports but he doesn't. Poor him! I think it must be hard for him not to be able to play basketball for 2 weeks. Because I sometimes watched him playing basketball with some of the dudes from our class. I always saw this girl... what's her name again? Doesn't really matter. I always saw this girl with him. She looked at him like he was her first love. I hate her for that. I truly do. I shake my head and twisted the corners of my mouth. But now I feel that kind of look on me... or is it just my imagination?

He really does look like a prince while riding horses. In these white clothes and that black helmet. Suddenly, I hear steps that are breaking me out of my thoughts. A little confused to be back in reality I looked around and saw the person I expected least. I felt not very pleased by his visit since he made Khun Nueng very upset. But Ben didn't even look. It seems like our presence also made him uncomfortable, so he left. Then, I heard a sweet voice behind me. "Palm." She said. "Hello, Maggie." It's been a while since I last saw her. "I only bought you a drink. You looked thirsty." That's actually thoughtful because I really am and I forgot to bring something. "Thank you." I told her. She just smiled. "Maybe we can hang out togegher soon?" I nodded slowly. "Yeah. Sure." She smiled even bigger now. Silence. "How's your arm?" She then asked. I looked at it. "It's alright. No need to worry, Maggie." She nods. "All right then. I have to get going. See you tomorrow at school... if you're going. But I guess you are." I smiled back at Maggie. "Yeah, I am. See you then." She's gone. It's not that I dislike her, I think she's a very nice person. I just want... to sink back in my thoughts. Wait, the drink. I'm still holding it. It seems tasty. I quickly opened it and tried it. Delicious."Someone bought you a drink, huh?" A challenging voice. This time, not behind me, no, most likely, over me. "Khun Nueng, you can't scare me like that!" I scolded him a little. Him sitting on his horse looking majestic. He got down, then bent over the railing. "Well, what if I can?" A naughty smirk from him. I smiled. "Anyways, wanna go home? I'm tired." Khun Nueng told me in a tone like when a little child is tired. "Yes, of course." I answered. He rolled his eyes. "You don't have to say yes to everything just because I suggest it. You should learn to know what you want." Oh, I know it well enough by now. I nod. "Alright."
This night, I almost had a nightmare. I barley have them. Just... when I statt feeling close to someone.
