Kai looked up at the tall building in front of him. Cooperdale High. He's been in front of this school many times before, it was his senior year after all. But today felt different. He felt different. He's felt this before but never this bad. Kai let out a frustrated sigh, he could feel it deep inside him. His fury was building up and it was high. He usually went on runs around the neighborhood to keep it at bay but recently he hadn't been tending to himself as he should have. Kai flexed his fingers, balling them into fists. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Today would be fine, he'd get through the day and go for a run after school. He felt wetness hit his face as he stood there. Blinking open his eyes realized it was raining, He reached out a hand to further feel the rain. Rain always puts him at peace. Snickering was heard nearby, he turned his eyes in that direction only to make eye contact with Malcolm Langraab. The blond teen smirked at him whispering something to a nearby student, making that student also look in Kai's direction. The dark haired teen rolled his forest green eyes and began making his way inside. He wouldn't let Malcolm's bullshit bother him today. He couldn't.
After shaking the water from hair, Kai made a bee-line for his locker. Maybe a snack would help take his mind away from the violent thoughts swirling in his head. He quickly entered the combination and peered inside. A groan erupted from his lips as he locked eyes with the empty snack box. Picking up the box he looked further inside, confusion written on his face.
'I could've sworn I had at least two more granola bars in here..'
That's when he saw the note stuck to the bottom of the box.
'Thanks for the snacks, I owe you one -Wolfgang'A low growl escaped him as his eyes turned dark. That. Jerk. Wolfgang Munch had been a thorn in Kai's side since he started highschool. He doesn't know why the aggressive male had zoned in on him on day one. Claiming he'd protect Kai from bullies and whatnot. It only took a week to realize Wolfgang was trouble. The guy had no filter and was just plain mean to everyone he didn't deem 'cool' enough. Kai tried to distance himself from him but Wolfgang was, if nothing else, persistent. Sitting at his lunch table, coming to watch him at football practice, showing up at his house. Yup, Wolfgang was stuck to Kai like glue. The bell brought him out of his annoyed trance. Class would be starting soon. Placing the box back and crumpling up the note, Kai slammed his locker shut with a loud bang, that drew a few looks his way. Normally he would be embarrassed to draw such attention to himself but today he was too angry to care. Struggling to keep his composure, the tall, raven haired teen went to class.
~*~
Class was torture. He couldn't think straight. He could feel eyes glance his way every so often. His sharp hearing picked up on whispers that floated about the classroom but he was too distracted by his thoughts to make out words. There was an uneasy air around him and anyone within 2 feet of him could feel it. Kai felt tense. He felt angry. He felt like a caged animal ready to burst out and devour everything in sight.
Snap.
The sound broke the silence of the room causing some to look his way. Kai's eyes drifted down to the now broken pencil in his hand. That was the 3rd one this period. He simply reached into his pencil case and pulled out another one, ignoring the worried glances he got from classmates nearby. Lunch time. He just had to make it 'til lunchtime, then he could eat and regroup.
