After I ordered Parker, Manuel, and Javier to get that son of a bitch after I gave the orders, I closed the link. I kept a tight hold on my distressed, trembling mate, trying to calm him down, leaving our bond to do its magic. This complicates things because he's in heat and suffering from night terrors.
All those scars on his back tell a horrific story. It also represents that he's a survivor. I can't believe a father would do something like that to his flesh and blood. Aiyden is the strongest person I know; to endure all the things those motherfuckers did to him and survive in my book that's fucking amazing.
Slowly, I moved and turned his body. I didn't want him to feel more uncomfortable than he already was. Finally, his heat was decreasing. The room was cold; the air conditioning was working at total capacity; maybe that was helping him. I looked at his flushed face. He had his eyes tightly closed. I needed to do something fast. My eyes glance out the window. That's when I realized the first rays of sunlight lit up the room.
Maybe I will give him the medicine Dr. Johnson left us for his anxiety attack... but I don't think giving him that will be the right thing to do in this situation. I decided to link Dr. Chang; better be safe than sorry.
"Dr. Chang, I need your help." I knew the only ones who could help us right now were one of the doctors.
"Alpha, what seems to be the problem? I can sense you're agitated."
"My mate is in heat, and he just suffered a night terror. It seems like me trying to help him triggered him."I looked down at Aiyden, who looked like he was still in a trance. His eyes were still closed tight; his eyebrows knitted. He was sweating profusely and clawing at me as his life depended on it.
"I'm on my way; prepare him a cold bath; we were already prepared for this, don't worry, just try to calm him down."
"Thanks, Doc." After I closed the link, I decided to mind-link Alyssa; she's the only one I can trust to be close to my mate.
