Somewhere else

"What do you mean by I'm getting married tomorrow?", asked a frantic black-haired girl. She seems to be in her mid-twenties, slim waist,  and elegantly dressed.

"You are and that is final", spoke the ever so stoic father of the girl, putting down his chopsticks and walking off from the dining hall.

"The arrangements have been made, and your wedding dress is in your room along with the tailor. Any adjustments required would be made right here, right now.", spoke the elder woman, sitting across from the lady, giving her a stern look and getting up to follow behind what seemed to be her husband.

"But...", protested the girl, only to be cut off by her elder brother.

"Don't forget your place. You will marry Jung Hoseok tomorrow, fulfil your purpose, and make our family proud. Don't forget, the only purpose of girls like you is to serve and be grateful obedient wives to their husbands. ", he spoke harshly, his dark brown eyes piercing looking down at the girl as if she was the scum of the dirt rather than his younger sister.

"Don't try anything stupid, or you know the consequences", said the younger version of the arrogant dark brown eyes, throwing a disgustingly devilish smirk her way, making the black haired women look down in anger, clenching her fist tightly to stop herself from lashing out. Knowing very well that out of all present, he would not hesitate to fulfil the said consequences.

"For them", the miserable girl thought, standing up to get ready for a marriage she never wanted to become part of.

What happened afterwards was a blur for the shock-struck lady. She was moving about doing everything with the designers and tailors in Auto-Mode. Her mind, her heart, her soul, yearning for them. For the people for whom she is willing to endure all the hardships in the world. For their happiness is much more worth than hers. Of course, they would be gravely hurt by her decision, but in the long run, they would forget and get in with life, happy and safe.

After finishing up all the preparations, the crew left the girl alone to rest. It was 10 in the night, exactly 12 hours prior before her life changes for the umpteenth time. Before she has to marry a man she had never heard of, let alone meet and converse. Her only hope, he would at least respect her and not treat her like dirt under his shoes.

Who was she kidding, of course, the person is going to be horrible. Oh, what she wouldn't do to talk with her family again. To run off in arms of her brother. To again play with her Jerry, to be able to cuddle her papa, to feel the warmth of her ma. To talk with her H. To tell him how sorry she is. To tell him that she indeed also can not leave without him. For him to call her his baby girl, to comfort her, to listen to her rants, to tell her everything is going to be alright. For him to make her feel special again, treasured again, strong again, loved again.

"I'm sorry VJ. I betrayed you and left you without any explanation. I didn't have any other choice. I'm sorry I'm selfish. I would rather live in a world where you hate him, than in a world without you. I hope you could find someone who could appreciate you, your love and your family, without any baggage. Bye VJ. Thank you for giving me the best time of my life, for showing me the best version of myself.", she whispered, silent tears streaming down her eyes holding all the sorrow of the world.

There is nothing more the girl regret than living in her comfort zone, her home. How can she forget such a dreadful day?

"I got admitted. Ma, ma, I got admitted to the university", screamed an adorable chubby girl. Her wavy brown black locks bounced with her, while she was running around in the house, gleaming in happiness.
