Enora smiles wide as her phone dings with a picture. 'Albert Enoch Andrews, 5lbs 7oz, 17inches' it says, sent directly to the family chat. Nor knew all those details a few hours ago but kept quiet until they were ready to share. The group blows up as she gathers the kids in the kitchen.
"We're gonna call dad, we got some news." She says as she sets the tablet on the island and has them all gather.
"Wassup, Morris-Andrews!" Corey smiles, sitting up from his sunbathing position. He pushes his shades onto his head.
"Dad!"
"Corey!"
"Why does he get to sit on the beach all day?" Rosie tuts.
They laugh. Enora smiles at her husband, stood behind all three kids. "I got some news for you twerps."
"Oh yeah?" Corey raises a brow. He can't get to his personal phone right now and has to use a secure line, so he has no idea.
Enora smiles wide. "Albert Enoch Andrews was born at 1pm this afternoon-"
"Oh my god!"
"I'm an auntie!"
"Babies are gross!" Grey whines.
Corey smiles wide. "Holy shit! That's early, is everything good?" He checks, a hand over his eyes to shield from the sun.
"He's absolutely perfect and Mary's doing good." She promises. "I'm a grandma... ew."
"Grammy Nor." Corey snickers.
She scowls playfully. "You're gonna get it, Mister." She rolls her eyes and let's the kids run off with her phone to see the photos. She sits at the island and rests her hand under her chin as she looks at her husband and he looks back. "You look tired." She finally says, slightly worried.
He smiles small. "My first day off in months, all the travel kicks your ass. But I'm doing good. Counting down the days."
"And what date are we counting down to now? First it was the 5th of December. Then the 7th of January and then 12th..." she trails off. They've had several changes in return date since he left. He was due home mid December and thought they lucked in when he got an early flight booked for him. Now its looking more like a month later than that.
Corey sighs and rubs his brow. "Janaury 28th." He admits. "
Enora frowns and fiddles with her rings. "I hate this. I hate that you're so disposable to them. You're a human who deserves to come home, not be messed around!" She tuts. "At this rate, you'll be gone for my 1 year checks. I don't want to do those without you, I can't do them without you."
"I know." He says sternly. "I'm fully aware and I keep reminding them of this. But this is my job, Enora-"
"I'm not doing this crappy lecture again Corey. I rang to to tell you about Albert, I did that. Good night." She mutters and hangs up. She rests her head on the kitchen counter and sighs deeply.

She checks on the kids and manages to pull her phone from their grasps. "Mom has to make a call but how about pizza for dinner?" She's interrupted by cheeks and smiles. "Good, go get yourselves showered first, I'm not ordering under all of you are clean and un-smelly." She teases.
Once they're all upstairs, she dials Kerry's number. She's mid call when Knox and Isobel return; he instantly gets the vibe and they leave her be. When Nor is finally done, she heads into the kitchen and forces a smile. "Pizza's on the way, I just ordered."
"You good?" Knox asks as he sips a beer leant on the counter.
She forces a more convincing smile. "I'm a-okay. Just overwhelmed that I'm a grammy now." She jokes.
"I'm an uncle... that's kinda rad." Knox smiles, totally convinced.
Isobel smiles. "You suit being an uncle."
"Albert will be a Prince." He promises and smiles. "Imma go shower." He kisses her cheek and jogs upstairs.
Enora raises a brow at the look on her face once Knox is gone. "Oh?"
"You wanna be the pot or the kettle?" Isobel asks as she grabs a bottle of wine from the fridge. She motions to Nor who nods, so she pours two hefty glasses.
"Thanks." Enora mutters as she takes the glass. "You first."
"We had the kid talk." Isobel sips her glass a few times. "And we're undecided. He decided, I should say."
"Go on."
She sighs and refills her glass already. "He decided we won't have them. End of, conversation done."
"Does he think that's what's best or is it what he wants?" Enora asks as she twirls the liquid in her glass.
"I'm convinced it's what he thinks best but he's adamant it's what he wants. He says he doesn't need kids." She shakes her head huffing.
"Need and want are different." Nor says.
Isobel tuts. "Exactly what I said. I said I'm happy to adopt, Foster, do all the drugs and treatments, even find a damn surrogate." She huffs, closing her eyes for a minute. "Your turn." She looks at her across the counter.
Enora takes a slow breath in and sighs heavy. "I snapped at Corey coz I'm an ass." She reaches over to grab the bottle and refill her glass. This is the first time she's drank since her transplant. "We fell into the same conversation as the last few times about how he can't help not knowing when he's coming home. I'm just... I'm frustrated and exhausted by it. I just want to know when my husband is coming home."
"And that's a valid feeling and thing. I'd hate not knowing." Isobel shakes her head. "I don't know how you do it."
"I don't either." She smiles small.

"We have a... Doctor?" The man turns his head as he examines Lowie's costume. "A soldier and... what are you?"
"A psychopath." Rosie says as she keeps a blank expression, dressed in her own clothes. "They look just like us. Its the perfect costume."
"Right....." He slowly drops candy in their bags. "Um bye now."
Enora shakes her head as the kids approach. "You could at least pretend to be normal." She tuts.
"I am normal. As normal as you." Rosie smirks with a shrug. Enora flicks her head as they walk to the next house.
Grey trips a little and she quickly grabs the back of his costume. "Woah there, Sargeant Morris." She steadies him carefully and kneels down. "You okay?"
He sighs and hangs his head. "Dad hasn't called.... he promise he-he would." He whispers.
Enora frowns guiltily and pulls him close. "I'm sorry buddy, you know he hasn't done it on purpose. He's probably just as sad as you."
"I wanted to show m-my costume." He pushes his glasses up.
Enora looks ahead to check Harlow and Rosie then back to her son. "I got lots of pictures, I promise - he won't miss a moment. Cmon, Lowie and Bam will win if we don't hurry our butt's up. You want a piggy back?"
He nods and she helps him up onto her back. They catch the girls up and make their way down the street, heading back towards Mers house. She smiles wide as she parks up just as they arrive back. "Oh I'm so glad I didn't miss this!"
"We're old now, grammy. Get over it." Harlow sasses as she wipes the kisses off that Mer quickly placed upon their heads.
Enora and Meredith laugh. "Ouch. That's me told." She tuts and helps Grey down. "Bailey's not home, go get yourself comfy on his bed and xbox."
Grey giggles and rushes off. Meredith turns to her daughter. "Has he called?"
"No... he normally would have. Even if we have an argument; big or small, he wouldn't not call." She whispers. She's been worried; it's been 5 days since the call. No text, email, call, nothing.
"He goes dark often, right?"
"He normally tells me if he has to."
"This is probably just abysmal timing." Mer reasons.
Enora sighs. "I'm sure it is. But until I know for sure, I'm going to worry."
"Of course you are." She pulls her daughter in for a hug and holds her for a moment. "Come on. We have a Halloween party to host."
Enora smiles small and nods, following her mom inside. She smiles at the decorations. Even though their kids are all older and grown out of Halloween, Hayes and Mer have gone all out for the grandkids. Cakes, balloons, banners, you name it. A few school friends came for the girls and Grey got to choose a friend or two.
About half way through, Enora feels her phone buzz. "Hello?" She steps outside.
"Baby emergency, you gotta come." James panics.
Her heart leaps. "What? What's happened?"
"You- just come!" He snaps and hangs up.
Enora rushes through the house and tells Mer who practically pushes her out the door. She races, as best as she can with a dozen blocks shut down throughout their neighbourhood, to James and Mary's apartment. She bangs on the door and rushes in as James opens up.
"What's going on?" She demands, rushing to Mary who is on the couch with Albert.
"His cord came off." She says, her face full of worry as she gently lays the tot down on the cushion between her legs and unbuttoned his onesie.
Enora exhale slowly. "His... cord... fell off... like its supposed to?" She raises her brow.
"He's 5 days old! They said 7-14 days! That's not normal right!?" James is evidently panicked.
Enora can't help but burst out laughing. "I'm sorry I'm sorry, hang on." She holds her sides as she laughs more. "You... you called baby emergency coz the cord, that falls off for every child, fell off?"
James hits her arm. "Don't be an ass. We're worried." He snaps.
Enora smiles wide and gently scoops the baby up. "Oh Enoch, you're gonna have helicopter parents." She coos.
"Is he okay?" Mary worries as she looks up at them.
Enora smiles. "Mary, I promise you this little boy is as healthy as can be. You wouldn't be home if he wasn't. Sure, 5 days is a little early for a cord in some cases but by his track record, Enoch does everything early." She teases and rubs his back gently as he squeaks.
Mary takes a deep breath. "Really? Like, really really?"
"Really really." Enora promises. "My name sake is perfect in every way."
"Still can't believe we chose Enoch. The poor kid should have just had the girly Enora instead." James mutters.
