Dinner had just finished, the maidens had their orders. The Dimitrescu family and Cassie made their way into the main hall.

"Come with me!" Daniela practically yelled at Cassie as she grabbed her by the hand. Dragging her through the main hall and up the stairs.

"Daniela, do be careful. We wouldn't want to scare our new guest." The Lady yelled after them.

"I want to show you my favorite part of the castle." Daniela said when they reached the top of the stairs. "That's the wine room. No one goes in there without mother's permission." She pointed towards the door with grapes and a wine bottle that also clearly said 'Wine Room' on it. "We go left here."

Cassie barely had time to look at the beautiful oil paintings or any of the marble bust before Daniela zoomed past them. Down the hall and into another room. "This is the Hall of Joy."

The one thing that Cassie did get time to see was the large ominous statue seated on a gated platform. It would be hard to miss by anyone. A large cloaked figure with her hands holding the sides of the neck of a smaller topless woman with her arms behind her back. Her head turned to the side as if she was being controlled by the larger being.

Another topless woman lying down, looking upward at the other young woman. While two more topless young women were at her side. One on the left held her down while pointing a dagger at the sternum of the woman lying. The one on the right holding a long spear at the lying woman's stomach in the right hand and a lantern in her left.

Daniela only stopped dragging Cassie along once she reached the set of double doors on the right of the Hall of Joy. "And this is the library." Daniela said with a huge grin. "It's my favorite."

"Whoa!" Cassie whispered to herself. Anyone who saw the library would be just as in awe. The library is one of the largest rooms in the castle. It was fairly dark as none of the candelabra lamps were lit. The only light that filled the room came from its ceiling.

Tall wooden columns, in the center of the room, reached high into the ceiling. They stood upon a squircle shaped platform. The columns held up a large glass dome, dark metal weaved its way through the glass making a beautiful intricate design. Much like the gazebo in the courtyard.

Daniela guided Cassie to the middle of the platform. They watched as the moon climbed higher in the night sky. The light filling the room even more as it rose.

As Cassie's eyes adjusted, she could see more. The walls were a half red damask wall paper, the lower half, a dark mahogany paneling. Embedded in the walls were smaller book shelves. Some were covered with a white lace curtain, to keep out the dust. Along parts of the wall sat couches and arm chair. All of them with light blue cushions with golden accents on the chair arms and legs.

The herringbone styled floor was mostly covered in floor runners. Red like the wall paper that decorated the room. Exactly like the ones that could be found lying on the stairs in the main hall and the hall of four.

Cassie was so in awe of her surroundings, she hadn't seen that the Lady, Bela and Cassandra had finally caught up to them. "Sometimes after dinner Mother likes to read to us." Bela said as she flew between Cassie and her sister. Startling them both.

Cassandra and Daniela moved one of the larger couches to the center of the platform while Lady Dimitrescu decided on what book to read. She thumbed through her collection of books. There had to be a thousand between the bookshelves on the walls and the tall double sided bookcases on the floor that surrounded the platform.
