10. Trauma From the Past

"C'mon Eve we have to get back to camp and tell the rest about Paige," Hannah said as she tried to speed up.

"I'm trying my best Hannah," Evelyn replied.

After twenty more minutes of walking, they get back to camp and are shocked that no one is there. Then Evelyn notices something, someone. It was Abigail lying on the floor where Finley left her. Evelyn let go of Paige and ran towards her.

"Holy fvck, Hannah something terrible has happened. The rest are gone. Talia is gone..." She told Hannah.

"Well, we're going to have to try and survive somehow. Now let's go before more of them come," Hannah replied.

Evelyn ripped a bit of her shirt off and stuck it into Abigail's mouth before putting her arm around her and helping her up. It was hard for Evelyn to carry her as she was older.

"Wanna swap? I think it'll be easier if you have Paige and I have Abigail," Hannah asked her.

Evelyn gave her an appreciative smile to show her gratitude. Hannah took Abigail and Evelyn grabbed Paige. Evelyn nodded her head at Hannah in a way to say 'lead the way'. And so she did.

Saige and Maria snuck around the city. The only noise that they would make is the occasionally step on something. Suddenly, something hit Maria in the leg, an arrow.

"Holy sh!t, Maria go into the woods!" Saige yelled to her.

Maria did so. Saige tried to follow her but she felt arms grab her just before she could. Soon, she was knocked out cold. But Maria kept running, two of them were chasing her. What would she do? She had no weapons whatsoever and her leg had been injured. She was a lost cause but still she kept on running, not giving up yet.

Maria's heart was racing, she was determined to beat her brother in this race.

"And I won. Better luck next time Mari," He yelled as he reached the end.

"Well done Ash, unlike you I'm not a sore loser whenever I lose," She joked to him

Ash gave her a playful knudge. Their mother came outside.

"Ash, you hit another student again. Come inside me and your father want to talk to you," She said.

She sounded angry and disappointed at the same time. Ash's face turned dark. He nodded his head as he cautiously followed his mother inside. Maria didn't understand why he looked like that but shrugged it off. She flashed a smile at her brother. In return, he gave her one back before going into the house.

Maria ran and ran but they were still sharp on her tail. She thought of this as a race with her brother. She had to be determined to win. Her leg was surging with pain but that didn't matter to her. The only thing that mattered was if she got away.

"Help!" She yelled, hoping someone heard her.

Who would? It was the middle of an apocalypse after all. She heard a loud bang twice and the two people fell to the floor. She stopped and looked infront of her and saw someone. A girl with brown hair wearing a flannel and some blue jeans.

"Uhmm hi? I heard you shouting for help so I came to help you," The mystery girl spoke.

Her tone was one of courage but also of dedication.

Hannah and Evelyn both heard someone yell help.

"Eve, did you hear that?" Hannah asked.

Evelyn nodded her head. Hannah passed her Abigail and ran towards the source of the noise. Evelyn fell to the floor as she wasn't that strong and was holding two deceased human bodies which were soon going to turn into zombies.

"Hannah? Hannah!" She yelled.

But it was no use. She took the two bodies off of herself and stood back up. She saw a zombie coming towards her so she used her gun and shot it. In the corner of her eye, she could just about make-out a group of five of them. She knew she could ake them on but first she dragged the dead zombie and put it over Paige and Abigail's bodies to hide them.

"Remember what you did last time Eve, remember," She whispered to herself.

She started shooting them all, just remembering she had a killer within her.

Hannah spotted Maria and the girl.

"Who the hell are you two?" She asked the two.

"I'm Maria...Blake," Maria told her.

Hannah knew Ash had a sister and this had to be her.

"Ash Blake's sister?" She asked her.

Maria nodded her head. Hannah pointed at the other girl.

"How about you? What's your name? Are you a threat?" Hannah aid as she pointed her bat at her.

"I'm Cailey," The mystery girl told her.

Hannah stared at her.

"Cailey what?" She asked her.

"Well I'm currently a Taylor but before I was adopted I was a Robinson," Cailey replied.

Hannah had a shocked look on her face. Cailey Robinson? Did Talia have a sister?

A/N- I'm going to call Evelyn, Eve from now on. So please don't get her mixed up with a random character.
