Chapter 24

BMit: Endeavor should be coming soon.

She looks at her watch that says 17:50. The day prior, reporters were swarming the enterance of MB Fashion. Katsuki said that UA made sure to keep all reporters away. They even caught two near their house. They're probably still there, so Endeavor will need to be cautious and enter through the back.

The Bakugo's hear knocking on the door to their backyard and see it's Todoroki Enji. Once they let him in, the alpha takes off his shoes and leaves his coat folded neatly on the cabinet next to the door.

TE: I saw some reporters outside, so I decided to come this way instead.

BMit: Good call.

Mitsuki leads him to their living room and goes to get him tea. While she's in the kitchen, Masaru sits opposite of Endeavor and strikes up a conversation. Katsuki comes down with Hikaru, who just woke up from his nap.

TE: Is there a plan of action yet?

Mitsuki gives him the cup of tea and sits next to Masaru while Katsuki sits at one of the single seats with Hikaru walking around them.

BH: Jiji!

Hikaru hugs at his leg tightly, so Endeavor moves his leg up and down slowly for Hikaru to enjoy.

BMit: Katsuki says that he wants to have a fake alpha partner to walkabout with. Thinks it'll mitigate the public's opinion about him since this issue impacts the company too.

BMas: But what if it backfires? People might think he's easy and open.

BK: The fuck they will!

TE: If you need an alpha, we could ask my son.

BK: I'm not faking it with Icyhot.

TE: I'm not talking about Shouto. I'm talking about Natsuo. He's three years older than you and his beta girlfriend broke up with him two months ago. They also started dating a month before you gave birth. The timeline adds up so he wouldn't be accused of cheating.

BMit: Wouldn't that mean that you'd have to tell your family?

BMas: Do you think they'd take it well? You have kept this from them for a year now. Not even Shouto suspects anything and you have been visiting us once a week.

TE: They might understand. The only problem is that Natsuo still hates me. I doubt he would want to come if I call him.

BK: You should try Icyhot and his sister first. They'll be easier.

TE: I was planning to. Shall I call them to meet here tomorrow, or would it be better for you to meet my place. I'll make sure to air out the place as much as I can.

BMas: Hmm your house will be better. There's too much attention. Katsuki can come right after school with your son since it will be Friday. Mitsuki and I will come at 17:00 with Hikaru. Just send us the address.

TE: Then it's settled. I should get going. Thank you for the tea.

As Endeavor gets up, he stops moving his leg, picks up Hikaru, and hands him back to Katsuki. As they say their farewells, Katsuki hangs in the back with Hikaru.

BMas: Are you sure you'll be fine with another alpha around you. When we went to the aquarium, you and Mitsuki had to switch seats.

BK: Tch. I'll be fine. As long as I can't smell his scent too much, there won't be too much a fucking problem.

BMit: Ha! You do realize that your nose has become even more sensitive after pregnancy, right?

BK: I know! It's not like I can help it. I'll just put on a mask and make sure he's wearing scent patches. Besides, we don't even know if that fucker will agree.
