what a plot twist you were.

you were a 20 year old college student, living with your mom. when you decided to get a summer job, since you have a summer break. you wanted to make some money of your own before getting your actual job after graduating.
(many colleges have summer breaks but if your country's doesn't let's just keep it with the scenario and pretend it does 😭)
so you just thought of attempting to get a job, not rushing it though. because you just wanted to but you didn't NEED to.
so you went out wearing comfy clothes to a small café. you saw a post on their instagram account saying that they were in a rush to get some employees. so you just went with the mount.
as soon as you arrived, the little bell rang when you opened the door, indicating your incoming.
you made your way to the counter, politely asking the barista behind it
"hello! i wanted to ask you if i could try for a job here?"
"yes sure! we're actually looking for a few new baristas so i'm glad you asked! there's a few things i need you to do though. like some short termed training, it's very basic honestly you can even finish it today so you don't have to worry!" the barista spoke
"sure no problem!"
"right now is perfect if you have time...uhm-"
"y/n, kim y/n. no problem" you said smiling "alright y/n then follow me!"
she said leading me to the back of the shop while telling me that her name was yeji, where landed countable people who were training for the job
but there's this one guy that really caught my eye....he was so...majestic.
he looked so surreal with his chocolate brown eyes that glistened as the sun slightly reflected on them. this perfectly shaped nose, his gorgeously styled dark brown hair where fewer hair strands covered his eyebrows. his lips were something else...they looked so kissable, such a flushing pink tint.
and lastly his HANDS.
i glanced at his veiny (SEXY-🫣) hands as one was placed on top of another, looking so gentleman like (send authorities 🧍🏻♀️)
he looked so cute yet so hot, idk how tf-
the barista led me near this guy as she told me to stand next to him.
i couldn't face him whatsoever so i kept looking straight, but soon enough, i felt two pairs of eyes stare into my soul. i knew it was that charming guy but didn't dare to give him a glance since i can barely hold a 5 second eye contact.
just as the barista was telling us what we need to do, and how to do it, i stole a few glances here and there from that guy without him noticing.
and after 2 more hours, we were in!......just me and that guy..
you trembled in nervousness as you there was no one but the two of us that will be in the damn café, with yeji. she told you that you two could start tomorrow, which got you shocked since that's so soon.
but at that very moment you felt two pairs of eyes on you....again. and you knew exactly who it was but you didn't bother to glance at him for a second because it was so nerve wrecking.
time skip ~ the next day
you went into the café at 9:00 am to start off your job, as yeji gave you your apron. that all went smoothly until that guy from yesterday came into the shop, settled in and started working with you, well technically not talking to you just working on the same counter obviously.
"i think i heard the barista saying his name was....min ahh min what.....minho!" you took a minute to think
your day actually went pretty well and it was very pleasing for you, and by the end of the day, you got so exhausted from all the rushing. so after all the customers left including the head of the shop, yeji, it was just you and minho, alone finishing up some organization and stuff.
the atmosphere was kinda tense but the silence wasn't so bad.
and so after you finished you sat on one of the chairs at a table, head in your hands, sighing tiredly.
minho stole a look from you again, seeing you weary.
he made his way up to you, bringing you a cup of coffee with a cute smiley face drawn on it.
you soon enough looked at it, unable to detect what you actually feel towards this act as he placed it infront of you. later on sitting across from you.
"i hope you like coffee" he said chuckling
"this is for me?????" you say, but then mentally slapping yourself.
he then laughed a bit and you were now a blushing mess seeing how cute his laugh is but also by what he did.
"who else would this be for??" he says chuckling.
you just smiled replying with a thank you as you took a sip, while on the other hand, he was waiting for your feedback on it. just for confirmation. oh and the face he made was the cutest thing you've ever seen. his puppy eyes were looking for an answer. but they lit up after your reaction.
"i love it! thank you. i needed it" you say smiling.
"no worries y/n"
y/n?? he knows my name?
"i look forward to hanging out with you y/n, i'll see you" he says, giving you a wink as he left to the back of the shop leaving you stunned and flustered
that coffee was the one he started making you everyday since then.
