Mattheo and I are on a break. I'll just put it plainly, we didn't break up but we aren't together . Both of us weren't putting in the work that was needed to keep the relationship so we decided that we were going to focus on ourselves, fix what needed to be fixed and come back and start again. I'll admit it, it's been hard. We haven't really been talking and I miss him so much. It's like a part of me is missing but at the same time it's there.
"Hey y/n!" Pansy says and happily starts walking beside me
"Hey Pansy. What's got you so excited?" i ask
"You haven't heard? Slytherin is hosting a party tonight! You coming?" She asks. Pansys my roommate and she loves to party, she really loves anything to do with going out.
"I don't know. I have a lot of homework." I say
"We both know you don't" she says "Come on it might be fun and maybe Mattheo will be there"
"Pansy....." i say
"I know, i know. I just want you to get over him. You can't be stuck on one boy your whole life." she says, she has a point.
"I know but we aren't over. We're just.... on a break" i say. There's a moment of silence.
"Anyways..... are you coming or not?" she says in kind of an annoyed tone. I decide it's best just to give her what she wants
"Fine." i say
"YAYYYY! Let's go get you ready!!!" she's says grabbing my hand a leading me to our shared room.
~Time Skip~
"My god....." Pansy says when I walk out of the bathroom
"What? Does it not look good? Do I look fat?" i say
"NO. YOU LOOK AMAZING!" She screams "If you and Mattheo don't get back together, feel free to hit me up." she flirts and turns back to her make up. I can't tell if she's being genuine or not.
" I'll keep that in mind" I say flirting back.
I was wearing a black silk dress. The front hung loose (it's supposed to), the back was open, and the dress cuts off a couple centimeters above my knees. I was wearing black heels along with it. My hair was in loose curls.
"Ready?" she asks
"of course!" i say
When we get to the party, Pansy and i make our way to the drink table.
"Hey y/n! Hey Pansy!" Theo (nott) says walking up to me and giving me a side hug "Where have you been? Ive barely seen you." He says
"Oh you know, around.." i say pouring myself a drink
"Alright, we'll it was nice seeing you!" he says walking away
After Pansy and I had finished our 3rd drink, we decided to dance. The song changed and we got on the dance floor. A little while later I got thirsty and decided to get some water. I stood off to the side watching as horny teenage girls throw themselves onto horny teenage boys. I spotted a familiar face.... Mattheos. I stood there lookin at him but my vision was blocked by Astoria Greengrass sat on his lap and started kissing him.
"Hey where were you?" Pansy asked walking up to me. I couldn't speak. "Hello?" she says waving her hand in front of my face and turning her eyes to were i was looking. "What. The. FLYING. FUCK." she screams
I storm over to Mattheo. "So this is what focusing on YOURSELF LOOKS LIKE??" I scream in his face. He immediately stops kissing her and pushes her off.
"This-This isn't what it looks like." he stutters
"Oh yeah? Then what is it? Because to me it looks like you're making out with a slut!" i say
"A SLUT" Astoria screams and lunges at me but Pansy pushes her back
"Don't do something you'll regret" Pasny whispers in her ear
"COME ON MATTHEO! CAT GOT YOUR TOUNGE. Oh! My bad! ASTORIA GOT YOU TOUNGE?" i yell "FUCK YOU. WE ARE OVER!" i scream walking out of the party
Pansy takes me up to up to our room. I can't breathe. Why would he do that? I mean yeah we are on a break but the mean we aren't broken up. Does he think we were broken up? i guess we are now.
I get undressed and get in the shower. I take a cold shower, it makes me feel alive.. and it feels nice. I put my pajamas on and braid my hair.
"Go away. She doesn't need or want to see you." I hear Pansy say and close the door. I walk out of the bathroom.
" I'm going to go to bed." i say
"okay... if you need to talk you know i'm here right?" she says
"I do know and i appreciate it." I say hugging her and laying down in bed. "You can go back to the party. You don't have to stay" i say
" are you sure?" she asks
"I wouldn't have said it if i didn't mean it" I say "and besides I know how excited you were. Now go party!" i say
"Thank you y/n/n! I love you!" she says kissing my forehead
"I love you too!" I says back as she closes the door and with that I go to sleep
~Time Skip~
I woke up to tapping on my window, which isn't out of the ordinary because of my owl. I check the time. 12:31 AM. I go to my window and open it, but it wasn't my owl.... it was Mattheo.
"What do you want." I say in an annoyed tone
" To talk" He says "May I come in?" He asks
"I guess?" I say rolling my eyes
He flys in through the window, places his broom down and closes the window.
"I'm sorry" He says
"Oh HES SORRY! HES SORRY!" i yell
"Yes i'm sorry. Could you be serious? This is our relationship we are talking about!" he argues back
"What relationship? Last time I checked we were broken up!" i say throwing my hands up in the air " AND WE WOULDNT BE HAVING THIS SITUATION IF YOU COULD KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF!"
"Oh come on! This isn't just my fault!" he yells
"ARE YOU SAYING ITS MINE?" i yell " I kept my hands to myself!"
"Not true! I saw you with Theo!!" He says
"YEAH! I hugged a friend! Actually he hugged me!" I say
There was silence. He sat down on the seat in front of my window and put his head in his hands. I walk over and sat down next to him.
" What happened to us?" he asked
"We fell out of love." i stated
"you." he says
"what?" i ask
"You fell out of love." He states "I never stopped loving you. I was using Astoria as a distraction"
"That's not an excuse." I quickly say. Maybe i did fall out of love..... maybe i didn't. "Look maybe one day we can find out way back to each other...." I say. He looks up at me "but for right now i need to figure myself out and get MY priorities straight before focusing on someone else." i say looking up at him.
He hugs me and kisses me on the forehead. "i'll wait for you."
