Steffs POV:
"Mariana Jesus come to my room now please!" I yelled into the hallway as me and Lena sat down on our bed. I knew they weren't gonna take this well."What do you want mom I don't want them living here!" Whined Mariana as Jesus followed her into the room.
"Yeah moms why didn't you guys at least talk to us about it? And why does Brandon get his own room that's not fair!" Jesus complained.
"Listen! We didn't have a choice okay? They were in a very unsafe foster home and they were getting hurt, I had no choice but to bring them in. They are very nice kids you just have to get to know them and they won't stay here for long okay?" I said trying to keep my temper.
"We don't even have room mom and I don't wanna share my room either." Mariana said crossing her arms.
"What if that's what me and Mama didn't wanna take you and Jesus because they was "no room." what if we didn't adopt you guys because we didn't wanna give up the last 2 bedrooms because of "no room." Think about."
They both got quite. That's what I thought.
"Go wash up guys, dinner is almost ready. It will be fun, get to know the kidsa little bit better and we'll have a good time." Lena said as she walked out.
"You heard her." I said as I followed Lena downstairs.
Maxx's POV:
Me Andrew and Bridget sat down at the kitchen table as the rest walked in. I got butterflies for some odd reason."Do you guys like chicken?" Lena said as she took a pan out of the oven.
We all nodded and smiled. I haven't had an actual home cooked meal in forever. Mom use to make them all the time.
There was nice silverware and napkins, with a bowl of rolls and we had veggies for a side. The chicken tasted amazing. Lenas a good cook.
"How was school today loves?" Steff asked as she took a bite out of her chicken.
"It would have been better if Jesus didn't hog the bathroom all morning!" Mariana snapped at Jesus.
"Guys got things they need to do to!" Jesus yelled.
"Can we not!" Lena said loudly.
Brandon sat their quietly eating. He seems to be the good in this family. "Are you always this quite Brandon?" I asked awkwardly.Everyone got quite. "I guess so." Brandon chuckled. Everyone else joined along too.
"Nice watch dude." Jesus said to Andrew with a half smile.
Andrew smiled shyly. "What do you say Andrew?" I asked. Do I still have to teach this kid manners?
"Thank you." He said.
I looked over at Bridget. She was quiter than a mouse. "Do you like it baby?" I asked as I rubbed her arm.
"It's better than what dad made." She said.
"I'm glad." Steff said with a smile.
I don't think it will be this bad.
