Porsche woke up to tons of phone calls from his staff. He had slept way past his alarm. He turned to see Kinn still sleeping on the other side of his bed. How peaceful and calm he looked despite the rough night.
He gently caressed Kinn's cheek and planted a soft kiss on his lips before getting out of bed. He cleaned himself up and headed to the kitchen to get something to eat. How long has it been since he has fed Kinn?Kinn was having the most wonderful sleep in months. Having no nightmares was another luxury he didn't know he could afford. He reached out for Porsche on the other side but was met with an empty void. He searched again with his eyes still closed but woke up with a start when he couldn't find the boy.
"Porsche?" He called out, finding himself in an unfamiliar room.
"Miss me already?" The other man walked in with a tray in his hands, with breakfast.
Kinn relaxed immediately and slumped back into the bed. He perked his head up when Porsche placed the tray on the bed.
"Let's eat first."
Kinn stretched a little and reached for his food.
The whole breakfast was somehow awkward. They were eating in silence but it was uncomfortable. It was weird how they had shared so much for so long, and had poured their hearts out the last night but somehow a looming cloud of shame and guilt had taken over both of them. It was time they'd realise that a lot of miscommunication had stained their relationship and both of them had acted stupid."I'd better leave." Kinn suggested after cleaning up. He was dressed in one of Porsche's shirts and had discarded his own.
"Yeah. I hope you're feeling better though. You drank a lot last night."
"I do have a headache but nothing I can't manage. I'll be fine."Porsche didn't protest further.
Kinn left him alone after planting a soft kiss on his cheek.
Somehow, both of them knew that getting back together wasn't something they should discuss. There were no promises of seeing each other again and no talk for the future.
Both of them left each other hanging.
A week later
The awkwardness was eating Porsche alive. He couldn't focus on work at all. His brain wouldn't stop thinking about how somehow things were mended with Kinn but not entirely.
They had gotten over the past, but what about the future?Would they never get back together?
On the other end, Kinn was doing poorly. He would constantly stay glued to his phone, waiting for some message or a call. He wanted Porsche to come back to him desperately but was too ashamed to make the first move.
Tankhun slapped Kinn on the shoulder.
"For gods sake Kinn, go get the boy."
