The Chase Begins

[Before I start this chapter I wanna say something. I spent some time writing out a few other chapters, I got 6 chapters ready and when I went to read everything back and check my work I realized the story took a massive turn from what I intended, so there's not gonna be a chapter for a bit after this as I work on getting this story back on track. Everything Before this will remain the same, but I'm gonna be focusing on longer chapters to help move the story back on course and with the way I write this chapter is gonna be the last until I have at least 3 ready then I'll post more on a semi stable schedule.]

No POV:

Cassy stands atop a skyscraper, suit on and eyes red. In the distance across the city red flashes are rapidly approaching, not before long Eobard Thawne, The Reverse Flash is standing before the cosmic power. "You blew your cover?" Thawne asked calmly but with a very clear sense of anger in his voice. "What else was I supposed to do? I need her and they were going to get rid of her." He sighs and groans. "You don't need her you need me!" He said loudly, but not quite yelling. "Whats done is done. I can keep them preoccupied for a bit while you figure out." She shrug and turn to leave. "Take caution young one, Allen is mine." Cass let out a light huff and run off. I didn't have an objective or destination, the Speedster was just exploring the world and checking out the past. It's boring in a beautiful way. She ran back to 2049 and stopped in at her apartment, she grabbed a beer and sit on the couch. Cassy took off her mask and shook her hair out, she set her feet on the coffee table and vibrated her fingers to flick off the cap and sip. "Fuck... FUCK!" She is overtaken by suppressed rage and threw the bottle at a wall and it shatterd, The girl restocked her bag and ran back to 2018 and she ran around looking for a suitable, temporary, base of operations. The girl subconsciously wandered back to Nora's hideout, she ran through it and she's not there. Then, she got a sneaky and probably stupid idea.

Cassy pov:

I just finished setting up my stuff when I heard her rush in and up to her room. "Ughhh...*muffle muffle*... that's just a load of shrap. *muffle* He's so dense!" I mostly hear her complain, she'd stressed. "And I'm out of food. Fantastic." I hear her slam her fridge door shut and speed out. I sped up to her room and casually went through her belongings, it was getting cooler out at night and she packed mostly summer gear. I replaced some of her tank tops and T-shirts with my hoodies and long sleeves, I got a sly and most devious idea... one I'll act out later.  I replaced some of her dated and broke tech with my vastly superior 2099 tech, not like Miguel was using it... probably. I ran to a supermarket and see her staning in line, she sees me and gets defensive. I give her a wink and I run fast enough for her to miss me and collect food and various items, I drop the most of it at my room and give the rest to Nora. I left her a cake and ice cream, some simple cleaning supplies and money that I totally did not take from unsuspecting civilians and maby totally not the back room safe.
*bu loop eep*... hm? *bu loop eep* I turn to my makeshift nightstand(literally just a box) and see my bracelet from 2049 lighting up with communications from Thawne. I pick it up and attach it to my wrist before accepting the call. "Whaaat?" I groan out. "Your going to lose her." I sit up quickly and look down at the bracelet. "What!?!" He clears his throat. "Flash is about to wrap up Cicada, XS is running around helping him." I let out an angry groan and sigh. "I'll deal with her." I get up and change into my suit. "You be-" I hang up on him and race to the room above me and she's mid changing. I buffer for a second and we look at each other before I realize what's happening. "Oh... fuck." I speed back behind the doorway, I hear a whoosh and slightly peek in to see her blushing hard and in her suit. I retreat back into the hallway and take a few deep breaths. "W-what do you want?" She asked, clearly trying to be big and tough but failing. I stand in the doorway pretending nothing happend. "I was here to stop you... from... from uh, helping your dad. Yeah." She looks at me confused but still trying to be tough. "Was?" I nod and nervously play with my fingers. "I had like a whole epic battle and this cool monolog planned but I...you.... um, that happend and yeah." I confess with a light shrug. We stand there awkwardly for a few seconds before I clear my throat. "Ahem right..." We share a look before I look at the time on my HUD. "Well... you should get running then." I say as I enter reverse flash mode, features include: red glowing eyes, vibrating body and reverberating voice. She perks up and gets defensive at my sudden shift, I step to the side of the doorway and lightly bow jestureing for her to go. "Ladies first." My menacing voice lightend up a little. She squints at me then runs off into the City. I smile lightly and sprint after the girl.

No pov:

Nora and Cassy... I mean, XS and Paradox ran through the glowing jungle of concrete. XS leads the chase and Paradox follows, Paradox runs up next to her and taunts her gently only for XS to try and bunce Paradox off the road and into anything along the streets. After a moment of Nora failing to stop Paradox she pushed herself to go faster in hopes of out running Paradox to lose her in the city but no matter how hard XS pushed Paradox was always on her side. "Don't make me hurt you." Paradox said in a taunting yet angry tone. XS just gets angry and starts weaving between whatever is in front of her, buildings, cars, people... whatever she could find. Paradox eventually got sick of this and when XS looked back she was gone, XS let out a sigh of relief only to turn infront of her and run into Paradox's chest.
XS fell flat on her ass and looked up at an unimpressed Paradox.
