It was a Thursday night and we were waiting in the Great Hall. This was the day Dumbledore picked the champions for the tournament. Fred and George were now fine from that potion, their hair was ginger again and the beards were gone, however, you could still see some strands of silver in their hair. "Sit down please. And now the moment you've all been waiting for, the champions selection!"Dumbledore yelled excitedly.

Dumbledore approached the blue flames coming from the Goblet, they turned red as it threw out a paper with a name on it. "The Durmstrang champion is...Viktor Krum!" Dumbledore exclaimed as the Durmstrangs all clapped.

"The champion for Bauxbatons is...Fluer Delacour."Dumbledore said, reading another name the Goblet gave him.

Fluer walked through the door that Krum went through and another name flew out. "And the Hogwarts champion...Cedric Diggory!" Dumbledore shouted over the clapping.

"No..." I whispered to myself.

I did clap for Cedric, feeling happy that he was happy, but now I was worried more than ever. Cedric walked though the door the others walked through. " Excellent! we now have our three champions! But in the end only one will go down in history. Only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory the tri-wizard cup!" Dumbledore exclaimed.

People were cheering and clapping after his speech when the fire turned red again on the Goblet. Dumbledore took the peice of paper gently in his hands. The whole room had gone absolutely silent. "Is this supposed to happen?" I asked Fred.

"No...Only three champions get picked." Fred whispered back.

Dumbledore looked at the paper in shock. "Y/n Black." He said quietly. "Y/n Black?"

"What the hell?" I said.

"Y/n! Go for Merlin's sake." Fred said clearly annoyed.

I slowly walked up to Dumbledore, he reluctantly gave me my peice of paper. I had to pass everyone to get to the stupid door where the other champions were. This wasn't even fair! I didn't want to get picked. "She's a cheat! She's not even 17 yet!" I heard someone from the Slytherin table yell.

"Just like her father!" Another voice shouted.

I was scared and confued. I made it to the door and tears welled up in my eyes as I walked through. There was a giant room behind the door, but you had to walk down stairs and through a gate. I sat on the top of the stairs and buried myself into my hands and sobbed. I didn't want to do this! I never put my name in the Goblet of Fire.

Suddenly the door flew open and I looked up. Dumbledore ran in looking distressed and grabbed me. "Y/n! Did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" He yelled at me.

"No sir." I told him as I quickly wiped away tears.

"Did you ask one of the older students to do it for you?" He asked.

"No sir." I said.

"You're absolutely sure?" He asked me.

"Yes sir." I replied.

"She's obviously lying." Madame Maxine said.

"No, no, I swear I'm not! Give me truth serum, anything, I'm not lying!" I yelled frantically.

"The goblet of fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object, only an exceptionally powerful conjurer could have hoodwinked it. Magic way beyond the talents of a fourth year." Mad-Eye explained.

"You seem to have given this a fair bit of thought, Mad-Eye." Igor Karkaroff said.

"It was once my job to think as dark wizards, Karkaroff you perhaps remember?" Moody yelled.
