Now that they had a new member, the party decided to attempt the toad quest one more time. Surprisingly, they were able to complete it this time around. Though Aqua wasn't much help, she didn't get eaten this time. With that done, the first thing Lia and Kazuma decided to do was buy some actual gear and take it from there. Starting tomorrow that is, seeing that the two of them took on an army of reptiles by themselves, they are both extremely tired.

"Kazuma, wake up." Aqua shook him, but he wouldn't budge. She couldn't tell if he was actually still asleep or if he was faking. It didn't really matter to her in the end. " Maybe kiss will get your blood moving." She whispered.

" Don't touch me." So he was just faking.

With the two finally awake, they met up with Lia so Kazuma could upgrade his gear. Or at least that was the plan. The little prank this morning had gotten Kazuma a little more paranoid about his situation with this goddess. First, he's forced to hold her hand over a bet for hours, then she tries to steal a kiss from him while he's sleeping. Getting some distance between the two was still part of his plan since yesterday however now that Lia is here and she seems to be in aqua's corner, it's going to be a bit harder to do that. Unless

" Good morning, lady aqua, good morning Kazuma." Lia greeted. Kazuma waved to her and aqua immediately left the two of them to grab a drink.

"Hey Lia, change of plans."

" what do you mean?"

" I know we need to get some actual here we can work with. But I can't stand a living in the staples. So instead of us holding on to whatever money we got wouldn't it be better if we put our cash together and tried to buy a house we could all live in."  Lia thought about the plan over for a moment.

" I understand how stressful your living conditions must be being in the staples at the moment. however, I think it would be better if we went ahead and spent our cash on getting better gear. For the time being, however, I do have some extra space. If you two don't mind, we could all stay at my place and then buy something bigger later on once we handle a few more quests." While it wasn't exactly what he wanted hearing those words was music to Kazuma they don't have to spend any money finding a place to get out of the staples, and they get better gear it's the best of both worlds.

" what are you two talking about?" Aqua asked.

" we're going to move out the Staples." Kazuma said.

" finally, I was wondering how much longer we have to stay in that dump." That comment rubbed Kazuma as he does still see it as her fault that there still in this mess however he couldn't be too upset.

Once they were all in agreement they went ahead and bought some new clothes so the two of them actually look like real Adventure is now.( though on a tight budget) Lia also purchased herself a new spear she can use and a small sword for Kazuma. Without they send all set to complete their Journey.

" before we get started on another quest, why don't I show you my place. Does someone I want you to meet." Aqua and Kazuma we're a little surprised about that, well it's only been a few days since they've teamed up she hasn't mentioned anyone else that she's been with.

Kazuma didn't seem to mind it however, outside of losing him the bet ever since he met Lia things have been going relatively swell. She actually knows how to fight, she's from Japan so they have some things in common, and while the whole situation seems new to her she's level-headed enough to come to rational decision. Compared to the goddess he chose, Lia seemed perfect.

" okay we're here." Lia said. Once she opened the door a terrible odor smacked both aqua and Kazuma in the face so hard they both almost fell over. To say the place was a mess would be a massive understatement. "Konjiro!" She called out. "Are you here? I have some new friends who want to meet you."  She walked across the living room not sending to mine ( or notice) the trash all over the floor. As she continued to search around two new friends exchange the same look towards each other that said

"You can't be serious?"

"I think I'm going to be sick." Aqua mumbled to herself. "Lia, that oatmeal over there is covered in ants. Why haven't you thrown it out!"

" Lady aqua, the ants are probably  hungry they deserve to eat too."

" So, what's your excuse about everything else." Kazuma asked.

" What do you mean? Leah said, running through the rest of the trash. There you are. This is my best friend Konjiro, say hi." She turned around while holding a stuffed teddy bear that looked like it was going to fall apart any second. Seeing how awful the place looked, her owning a teddy bear wasn't the craziest thing they've seen. However, what happened next took both of them off guard: she started talking for it.

"Hello Kazuma, hello aqua nice to me you." She said in a high-pitched squeaky voice. "My names Konjiro, I hope we can be friends."

" Okay, I had enough." Kazuma rolled up his sleeves and started picking up trash. " Aqua, give me a hand."

"Of course." The two of them got to work trying to clean up this mess so they don't have to look at it any longer than they had to.

" I really don't mind the mess." Lia said.

"Well, I do!" The other two yelled. 

Author notes: This was kind of a fast chapter, but I wanted to get something out because of me moving recently. I had to put this on hold. Since I know I'm not everyone played fantastic days, I wanted to get those people a general idea on who Lia was, an adventure who can hold her own in a fight however she is the worst at cleaning up after herself on top of that she still plays with her stuffed doll like it's an actual person.
