𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐭.𝟐

The sun is shining and the birds are chirping, I smile to myself.
I stand up and yawn.
While dancing to someone music I dress myself for the day and go out of my room to the bathroom.
"Good morning sweetheart!" My mom shouts from the kitchen.
"Morning!" I yell back while brushing my teeth.
As I'm done I sit on the table and start to eat.
"Something planned for today?" she asks while sitting down too.
"I think I'm going to that café downtown." I say with a smile, eating.
"Alone?" she asks with a curious look.
"Yes, alone. I want to try something new." I answer.
"Okay." she says.
I look at her and laugh a little, she smiles.

"I'm going now." I say, putting my coat on.
"Stay safe, I love you." mom says while hugging me.
"Will do, love you too." I say with a smile, hugging her and closing the door.
I put my headphones in and start to walk.

The air is stuffy and some puddles are on the street.
Soon I fall and I'm excited.

As I arrive at the café it's not that crowded, I smile to myself.
I take off my coat and sit down.

"Hello, what can I get you?" a waiter asks with a smile.
"Hi, can I get a black tea with milk please?" I ask while looking into the menu, smiling.
"Of course! Anything else?" he asks, looking at my order.
"Nope, that's all." I say with a smile.
"Okay, will be there soon." he says, smiling at me.
"Thank you." I say.

"Here you go." the waiter says with a smile, while putting the tea in front of me.
"Thank you." I say with a smile.
I put sugar in it and start to drink it while being on my phone.

I hear the door open and look up, it's Miles.
Miles?
He looks at me with a small smile and walks towards me, I hold my breath.

"Hey Y/n." he say with a smile while sitting down.
"Hi Miles." I say while looking down on my tea.
"What are you doing here?" he asks.
"I just wanted to go out, that's all." I answer, looking at him.
"Oh, cool." he says, looking to the side.
"And you?" I ask back.
"I just wanted to go out too." he answers while sighing.
"Without Gwen?" I ask a little hurt while drinking.
"Yeah, why?" he asks with a confused look.
"Cause she's your girlfriend?" I ask back with raised eyebrows, being pissed.
"Wait, what?" he asks, leaning more forward.
My eyes widen as I realise what I just said.
"Everything alright, miss?" the waiter comes and asks.
"Yes, can I pay please?" I ask with a smile, trying to ignore miles stare.
"Yes, that would be 2,99$." he answers.
"Thanks." I say after paying and stand up, he nods and goes.
Quickly I glance at miles and put my coat on.
"Wait, are you actually going right now?" he asks while standing up.
"Yes." I say, looking down while going outside.

As I'm outside, the wind is hitting my face and I take a deep breath.
That was embarrassing and completely stupid of me.
I go towards the park and put my earphones out.
As I'm at a bench, I sit down and start the music while closing my eyes.

Soon I feel a presence and open my eyes again, it's Miles of course.
"Hey." I say, putting my earphones down.
"Hey." he says.
"Sorry about earlier." I say with a sorry feeling look.
"It's okay, I just don't understand what you meant." he says, looking into my eyes.
"What?" I ask confused.
"Can I sit first, before we talk?" he asks.
"Oh yeah, sorry." I answer while sliding to the side.
"You know, you don't have to apologise all the time." he says with a little laugh while sitting down.
"Sorry." I say with warm cheeks.
He laughs and I have to smile.
"So what did you meant earlier about Gwen?" he asks after a while, looking at me.
"I just said that she is your girlfriend." I say shy, looking down.
"She is what? She's not my girlfriend." he says with bright eyes.
"She's not?" I ask shocked.
"No, who told you that?" he asks with a curious look.
"Nobody, I just thought she is cause you guys are so close." I answer nervous, feeling my cheeks getting warm of embarrassed.
"We are just friends." he says while looking forward.
I do too and silence went over us.
"Are you some kind of jealous?" he asks after a while, turning to me with a grin.
"What?" I ask embarrassed, my cheeks warm.
"I'm just joking." he says with a laugh.
"Yeah right, I know." I say with a fake laugh, looking down.
"Why did you ignored me?" he asks.
"Ehm because maybe of Gwen. You know I thought she's your girlfriend so I wanted some distance." I answer truthfully, looking at him.
"Oh so you were jealous?" he asks, grinning again.
I don't answer.
"Sorry that if it hurted you." he says while putting his hand on my shoulder.
I look at him and nod with a small smile, he smiles back.
"Do you want to go out sometime?" he asks nervous.
"Yes." I answer with a smile.
He sighs and smiles.
"Want to listen to some music?" I answer, holding one earphone up.
He takes it and puts it in his ear.
This Town by Niall Horan starts playing and I smile to myself.
I feel something on my hand, as I look down I see how miles interlocks our fingers.
I look up at him and smile at him, he smiles back.
I put my head on his shoulder and we enjoy the moment.
