Kim Seungmin is a 21-year-old clinical psychologist who works at a small clinic in the same town as the first narrator. He is a professional, friendly, and empathic person who enjoys helping people with their mental health challenges.

He studied four years at the medical school, and then continued next three years at the college to train as a psychologist.

Seungmin has always had a passion for helping others and knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in psychology. He worked hard in school to achieve his master's degree and was eager to start his practice.

Seungmin takes pride in his work and is always looking for new ways to help his patients. He creates a safe and non-judgmental space for his patients to express their thoughts and feelings. He believes that therapy is a collaborative effort and works with his patients to develop treatment plans that best fit their needs.

Outside of work, Seungmin enjoys spending time with his cat, reading, watching movies, and singing. He is gay but has not come out to his colleagues or family. He desires to be open about his sexuality, but he fears the repercussions that may come with it.

Despite his passion for helping others, Seungmin often feels frustrated, bored, and lonely. He yearns for something more in his life, but he's not sure what it is. He feels like he's missing something or someone. He's not sure if it's a new job, a relationship, or something else entirely.

Seungmin does his best to push these thoughts aside and continues to focus on helping his patients as best he can. He believes that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, and he strives to help his patients achieve just that.

Chapter 3: Seungmin's Journeys with Struggling Patients

Kim Seungmin has had many journeys with his patients throughout his career. He has helped people from all walks of life, including survivors of abuse, individuals struggling with addiction, and those grappling with depression and anxiety.

One patient that sticks out in Seungmin's mind was a young man named Joon. Joon had experienced severe trauma as a child and was struggling with PTSD. He had trouble sleeping, eating, and functioning in day-to-day life. Seungmin worked closely with Joon to develop coping mechanisms to deal with his symptoms. After several months of therapy, Joon showed significant improvement. He was able to sleep better, eat healthier, and engage in social activities. Seungmin felt a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that he helped Joon overcome his mental health challenges.

Another patient that Seungmin worked with was a woman named Eunice. Eunice was struggling with addiction and felt like her life was spiraling out of control. Seungmin worked with Eunice to identify the root cause of her addiction and develop strategies to overcome it. Together, they worked to rebuild Eunice's confidence and self-esteem. Eunice still struggled with addiction, but through therapy, she was able to maintain sobriety and regain control of her life.

One day, as Seungmin checked his email, he received a message from a family named the Hwangs. The email explained that their son had been struggling with depression for several months, and they were desperate to get him help. They had researched several psychologists in the area and were impressed with Seungmin's credentials and expertise.

Seungmin felt touched by the Hwangs' email and immediately replied, suggesting that they come in for an initial consultation. In the email, he wrote, "I understand how difficult it can be to watch a loved one struggle with mental illness. I would be more than happy to meet with your son and see how I can help him."

As Seungmin read through the email once more, he made some notes out loud to himself. "It's clear that the Hwangs are a very healthy family, but that doesn't mean their son is immune to mental health challenges. Depression can affect anyone, regardless of their background or social status. I'm glad they reached out for help and that I can be there for them."

Seungmin felt a sense of responsibility to help the Hwangs' son. He knew that depression could be a difficult condition to treat, but he was confident in his abilities as a therapist. He set up an appointment with the Hwangs and waited to see what the future held.

As he closed his laptop, he thought about the Hwangs and their son. He knew that mental health challenges could be isolating, but he hoped that by working together, they could overcome their struggles and find peace.
