She lands face first in the sand.

I stand in silence staring down at her containing my laugh.

She gets up and brushes herself off as her face turns red and her ears heat up.

She turns to me and avoids eye contact.

"That never happened."

She turns and runs into the ocean dropping her towel in the sand. I watch her back as she runs in the water and I let my eyes wander lower.

𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐍.

I shake off my thoughts and Laugh as I follow close behind and she flips me off as she's neck deep in the water. Her face is still bright red despite the cold water and she looks even more adorable. I drop my folded towel next to her crumbled one and set my glasses atop it.

I grab the hem of my tank top and lift it over my head. I walk towards the water slowly and stand right when my knees hit the water.

Beau seems more flushed then before.

"So we're just gonna avoid the whole face plant situation, yeah?" I start and she splashes me.

"Shut up you distracted me and why would a log be there anyways." She huffs and I chuckle.

"Yes it's the logs fault."

"It is." She swims backwards and smirks.

"So mystery boy are you gonna spill your secrets? Who's Kelton to you if not your dad?"

I stiffen and plunge deeper in the water slowly getting closer to her.

I stay silent for a moment before awnsering.

"He's not my dad. He's my dads best friend."

She nods slowly and plays with a strand of her hand braiding the wet strands together.

I want to ask questions too but decide to stay silent.

We start heading back Kelton And Beatrice and we both stop in our tracks 10 feet away from them.

"Are they..." I glance at Beau and see her sad and furious.

Kelton and Beatrice are sitting under the beach umbrella making out as we speak.

She stays silent rage building around her and she turns toward my direction.

"Wanna go somewhere?" She tilts her head to the side and I push my glasses up the bridge of my nose questioning Her.

"Where?"

"Anywhere but here."

We start walking leaving the beach and reach a nearby convince store. We enter inside and she goes to the checkout counter and smiles at a dude our age. He tall, decently handsome and automatically smiles wide as soon as he sees Beau.
