By Thursday the sun finally peaked trough the thick clouds and warmed up the air enough for Renjun to resume his morning jogging he had to skip as it was raining. With airpods blasting his workout playlist he easily made his way through the streets and to the park where he usually does his morning stretching.
Feeling his heartbeat accelerate and his body warm up pleasantly he finishes the almost hour long jog back at the apartment building.
Stopping to check the mail he finds an unusual envelope in his mailbox sent to Lee Hwang that he pulls out.
Thinking that the postman probably mixed up something after seeing the name Huang written on his mailbox he places the envelope on the little table where the rest of the mixed up post is placed.
It's a huge apartment building anyways so people don't really know everyone despite the bi-yearly tenant meetings, and he only ever spoke to the four other people sharing his floor.
Taking the steps two at a time he quickly arrives at his home and jumps under the shower before starting his morning routine.
He checks his phone while tying his tie for the day and sees a message from his mother that he immediately opens.
Renjun has always considered himself to have a large family with his two older sisters, one who was a famous celebrity in Korea and the other who was successfully married, neither probably remembering he existed at this point.
His mother is a retired ophthalmologist who spends most of her days pestering her eldest daughter for grandchildren and taking care of the flower garden for her husband's shop.
The message contains the usual questions about how he is, if he was eating well and when he would be able to visit them again, occasionally a question about Jaemin as well.
Living hundreds of kilometres away from his parent's house doesn't allow him to visit as often as he'd like to, but it also allowed him to become independent.
Texting back a satisfactory answer he throws the phone into his briefcase before heading out to work, planning to stop by a café to get himself and Jaem a coffee.

Donghyuck stretched his limbs before rolling over on the large bed and sighing at the cool feel of his sheets, the room still as dark as last night, or rather as always.
The sound of his coffee machine broke the silence in the room reminding him that Mark had slept over after their guys night.
Glancing at the digital clock on his bedside table that read 10:49am he groaned and rolled out of the comfortable bed ready to start his day.
"Morning. Here's the hangover cure in case you need it." Mark's cheerful voice chirped as he spotted his best friend in his pajamas.
"I'm not hungover just tired, couldn't fall asleep until after five. I have to go pick up my car today and then drive all the way to the hills to check out a new apartment complex that Johnny found."
"When do you have to leave? Want me to whisk together something for breakfast quickly?" Mark offered just to receive a raised eyebrow from his best friend who valued his kitchen too much to allow him anywhere near.
"I'll just have some fruits and yoghurt for now, and coffee of course." The tan male grabbed a mug before starting to brew his own drink and hopefully feel more energised.
"Oh, did you know that Jeno was temporarily assigned to work at ND? Apparently some worker is about to take maternity leave and he was offered the position, which I think is a great opportunity."
"ND? That's like the company in the city and he's going to work there? Mans will have to buy himself new suits if he wants to blend in."
"I heard his pay will be almost twice as big as now, so maybe he'll finally decide to move out of his shoebox apartment into something liveable."
"It's the sentimental value of that place that keeps him there so good luck trying to get him out. Maybe one day when he finds himself a boyfriend he wishes to move in with will that hole in the wall be forgotten."
"Speaking of relationships, how was the blind date last weekend? You didn't say anything so I guessed that it either got rescheduled because of the weather or was no success."
"She was nice."
"She?"
"I know, and apparently I was supposed to be a she too. The girl who set up the whole thing managed to put a gay dude on a date with a lesbian, a feat not many can accomplish.
We enjoyed the dinner nonetheless but that's all that happened, we ate and then went our own ways." Donghyuck explained while stirring sugar into his drink.
"You can always go to J-"
"No, Mark. I know that you probably think that because we both like guys we could simply go for eachother but that's not how it works, just like you don't date the first girl you see on the street."
"You're right, I'm sorry."
"It's okay, I know you just meant well but it's complicated, and I'm not looking for anyone at the moment."
That was true since the only reason why Hyuck went on that blind date was because he owed the girl and not because he expected anything out of it.
The two friends quietly finished their healthy breakfast bowls before Mark took his leave and Donghyuck jumped in the shower to get ready.
As an only child he was spoiled rotten while growing up by his parents who have tried conceiving for years before him, calling him their sunshine that brought light to their gloomy lives.
Mrs Lee is like his older copy thus the mother and son understand eachother, part of the reason why Donghyuck is a chaotic mess but in a good way.
He loves his parents dearly and always makes sure they're well, visiting once a week and sending them on vacations every year from money he saved up.
His parents knew of his preference ever since he was a child or at least that's what his dad told him when he came out to them in his teenage years, thus he received their full support.
University years were Donghyuck's hoe days where he fully explored his sexuality and had more one night stands that he could keep track of, a phase he now long grew out of.
Whistling a melody he heard as he passed by one of the cafés he walked inside the repair shop to retrieve his baby from the yearly service.
Slipping into his red Subaru BRZ, that was one of his first purchases after getting a job, he put on his sunglasses and sped off to his next appointment.

Renjun was walking around his office while rereading the text he had translated once again before forwarding it to his boss.
His spare suit was hung over the backrest of the couch ready to be taken to dry cleaning after the lunch meeting he had earlier.
In less than half an hour his workday would end and he and Jaemin would hit the gym like ever so often, finishing the day with a quick tennis game before finally heading home.
By the time he is dropped off near his apartment building it's dark and Renjun feels accomplished, stopping by the little supermarket to grab some vegetables he makes his way home.
Another predictable day in his life has passed and he was feeling content with the way things were.
