i've been beginning to wonder why you picked her. call it envy, pain, grief, but my fingers have grazed across the surface of the reason why you chose her.

her hair carries star fragments that have melted, and intertwined with the deep ebony of her hair; the star fragments that she forced there.

I wonder
if the star fragments
shed tears
as they melted
and dissolved
in waves of darkness.

she's pretty. maybe even beautiful. a girl who carries the stars in her hair and emits smiles of moonlight surely is a girl who is lovely. but, the words that have escaped her lips have rotted and disappointed the ones whose hearts touched hers.

do you
really admire
someone who is
cruelly beautiful,
and selfishly gentle,
and arrogantly
lovely?

do you really see her as the fair lady, nyx? the nyx who's eyes carry slivers of the moon, and the nyx who saves the broken stars, letting them find solace and serenity in her hair instead of letting them cry tears of gold to make her seem more god-like? do you really believe that the words muttered from her lips of roses have fallen delicately on the ones whose hearts touched hers? do you believe that her words are like daisy petals, falling gracefully onto the hearts of the beloved?

i hate to pierce your heart in warning you, but, my love, you have failed once again in observation.

for,    she    is   a    false    god
and  the beauty she carries,
was                all             caused
by   her  willingly     harming
beautiful                        things.
