"You're off to somewhere, love?" Pete's walk came to a halt when he heard Vegas' voice. He was about to take his quiet exit and just text Vegas he was off to the main compound because of Tankhun's request. Or rather threats.

"Yeah. Khun Noo kept calling me asking for a movie night. I can't say no this time coz apparently I've pulled a lot of rain checks already." Pete replied with a grimace.

"I'm sorry I can't bring you guys with me. He specifically told me to 'not bring that Devil and his demon child', his words not mine by the way, or else he'll burn the minor compound to the ground. You know he doesn't do empty threats, right?"

Vegas can't help but laugh at that. As much as he want to spite his cousin by coming with Pete tonight, they both know that Tankhun wasn't joking about burning their home on a whim. Vegas might be "the psychopath" of the family as most people say but Tankhun is a different breed. He's crazier than Vegas and nobody really wants to test that or his creative way of punishments.

"You want me to drive you there?" Vegas offered but Pete shook his head.

"Thanks, but no. You'd better stay here and keep an eye on Venice. You know how he gets if both of us are absent. I'll be back around midnight. You guys take care while I'm away." Pete leaned closer to Vegas to give him a kiss. Before he can deepen the kiss, Pete pulled away which made him groaned.

"How about you tell Khun that you're sick and you can't join him today?" Vegas suggested while grinning at Pete which earned him a light slap in the shoulder.

"And get our house on fire? Nah-uh." Pete replied shaking his head. "I'm going now. Be a good boy and maybe you'll get more than a kiss when I get back."

"Yes, sir!" Vegas made a salute sign that earned a giggle from Pete. He can't believe that the minor family head is capable of doing cute things. He's so adorable that Pete can't help but smile. He waved his hands and made his way to the car. Nop will be driving him today. During the drive, they chatted about mundane things and sometimes Nop would update him about security matters. It took about 30 minutes before they arrived at the main family compound. Since the guards already know him, they let him in without a fuss.

"Thanks, Nop. Fetch me back around midnight." Nop nodded and made his way out.

"Peeeeeteeeee! You finally made it out from that devil's lair!" Tankhun sort of screamed while running towards him. Before Pete could react, he was enveloped by a deadly hug.

"Can't—breathe." He gasped as he lightly tapped his former boss' back to let him know his oxygen supply is fading out. Luckily, he released him in an instant.

"Sorry, I'm just super excited! It's been a while since we had a movie night and my nerves are buzzing!" Tankhun said sheepishly, nearly jumping up and down in front of Pete.

"It's okay, Khun Noo. Let's go inside?" Pete said and smiled.

"Yes yes. We should! Come come!" Pete found himself getting dragged inside as they made their way to Tankhun's room. He can't help but smile at his antics. But the smile dropped once Tankhun's door opened and he saw Kim sitting at the end of the couch in front of the TV, annoyance is written all over his face. In the other end was Pol who looks a bit terrified by Kim's sour mood.

"Soooo, Arm was sick so he can't join us tonight. Thus, I have Kim as his replacement." His former boss explained which earned a scoff from Kim. Pete doesn't know how to react. But one thing's for sure, he wasn't expecting Kim to be part of this movie night they planned. Grimacing, he went to Pol's side  to make himself comfortable but before his butt can touch the couch, Tankhun screeched as he pulled Pete so he can sit between them. It took all of Pete's patience to not scream back at him. He closed his eyes and tried to breathe deeply through his nose to calm himself down. What the f*ck is wrong with him?

"I wanna sit between you and Pol just like the old times." He said like he didn't just screeched like some wild animal a while ago and handed Pete's teddy bear he used to hold during movie nights like this. He then look past Pete frowning.

"Pol, give me Arm's teddy. I'll let Kim borrow it." Pol immediately obliged.

"Here. Don't tear it or I will shred you to pieces." He tossed the poor stuffed toy to Kim who grumbled but held the teddy nonetheless. Once they're all settled (according to Tankhun), the movie marathon started.

Pete tried to focus on the movie but he can't seem to concentrate. Kim's unexpected presence doesn't sit right with him.

"Pete, stop fidgeting." Tankhun snapped in the middle of the movie. Pete murmured a quiet apology and tried to sit still. But it wasn't helping that he can see Kim staring at him in his periphery.

Why is he being a creep?

Exhausted, he leaned back to the couch and ignored his surroundings (a.k.a Kim).

On the other hand, Kim tried not to blatantly stare at Pete but his eyes seemed to have other plans because they keep drifting back to Pete. So throughout the movie, Kim spent his time looking at him instead of the TV screen. It's a good thing that his older brother and Pol are so focused on the movie that they didn't notice.

They were halfway through the last movie when he realized everyone was already asleep. Pol was curled up comfortably at the end of the couch hugging his teddy. Tankhun's head was laid on top of the table in front of them, his mouth is slightly open that Kim briefly thought of putting the remote in it but decided against it while Pete is using his teddy as a  pillow, his head facing Kim. He looks so serene, the usual tension and stiffness in his face were gone. He looks younger like this. Unconsciously, he lifted his hand towards Pete's face. Kim's fingers lightly parted his bangs before ghosting them on his cheeks. It took a lot of willpower to stop himself from caressing his face— to hold him like he used to. Things are different now. So he just stared longingly at him, even if every fiber of his being was screaming to hug Pete—to take him away and keep him for himself.

Sighing, he stood up and walked towards the door. He needed to get out of here before he'd do something stupid. He had the urge to look back but he didn't because it would be harder to leave. Maybe it was a good thing he didn't look back as he might see Tankhun's concerned look thrown at him if he did.
