Chapter 10

I slowly opened my eyes. It was really dark. I went and turned on the light and watched TV for a little while. There was nothing on so I started reading a book. I’m really glad Angelica brought me books and movies, because without them this ´place would be a total bore. I want to get out of here! I started walking over to Chris’s room. I hope he’s not sleeping. I knocked on the door.

“Come in” he said.

“Hey Chris” I said.

“What’s up?” he said giving me some space to sit. I sat down and saw he was watching Harry Potter.

“Bored” I said looking around the room. He had a ton of movies piled on his bedside table and a bunch of books on the couch.

“Want to watch Harry Potter with me?” he asked.

“Okay” I said smiling.

“Let me start it over” he said grabbing the remote.

“Don’t worry about it I’ve seen it before” I said taking the remote out of his hand. We finished the first movie and ended up watching the other 6.

“What time is it?” I asked yawning.

“Noon” he said looking at his watch.

“I should be going” I said getting up.

“Where?” he said.

“My ro-“I said. “On second thought, do you mind if I stay a little longer?”

“I don’t mind at all” he said smiling.

“Thanks” I said sitting down again.

“What do you want to watch now?” he asked.

“Do you have any sci-fi movies?” I asked.

“Sci-fi huh? Didn’t know you were into that kind of stuff” he said searching through the boxes.

“Well I am” I said smiling.

“Is Star Trek okay?” he asked.

“Sure, I haven't seen it yet” I said grabbing it from his hand and putting it into the player. The movie passed pretty quickly. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

“Now I really have to go” I said getting up.

“Thanks for stopping by” he said smiling.

“You’re welcome” I said smirking and walking away. I went to my room and instantly fell asleep.

I woke up slowly. Angelica was sitting beside me watching TV.

“Hi” I said groggily.

“Hey there” she said happily.

“What’s up?” I said rubbing my eyes.

“Just watching Friends” she said smiling.

“Okay” I said closing my eyes again.

“Wait!” she said.

“What?” I asked.

“Um…aren’t you going to ask me why I’m so happy?” she said.

“Why are you so happy Angelica?” I asked.

“I finally got the guts to ask Tyler out!” she said.

“No way!” I said. 

“Yes way!” she said grinning. “And he said yes!”

“That’s great!” I said giving her a hug. We jumped up and down and started shrieking. Girl stuff. We laughed and danced around the room. I was so happy for her. She seemed happier than ever.
