I decided to go against my plans of sending out another chapter in a couple of months and send out what I have left of my writing. Hope you all enjoy it.

Here are some key terms if you don't know what they mean:

(y/n) - Your name

(l/n) - Your last name

(t/l/n) - Teacher's last name

(f/t/l/n) - Female teacher's last name

Mathematics. The subject in which students learn about the science and its study of quality, structure, space, and change using numbers, formulas, structure and patterns to better understand the world around us.

Mathematics. For me and many others, is a drag at times especially when your brain forgets to remind you about the homework due for that coming class. And in addition to this, when your brain conveniently decides to forget your workbooks at home, causing you to frantically try and find them, resulting in you being late to your 5th period maths class.

"I see you (y/n). Trying to sneak in without me noticing again? sigh... I shall be making a note of this and seeing you after school to discuss with you why you continue to inconveniently run late to all of my classes. And while we are at it I will put in a word to have you placed into detention after school on Friday to Mrs (f/t/l/n). Are we clear?"

"Yes Mr (t/l/n)" I said with a sigh while searching for a vacant seat.

oh no.

My luck.

I quickly without taking too long made my way to sit in the far left front seat. Right in front of the teacher's desk and directly in the view of Mr (t/l/n). Meanwhile, the whole class chattered amongst themselves and looked directly at me, their next gossip target.'Why didn't I just come to class straight away, I had a funny feeling I left my notes at home. And detention? He lets other students slide with worse. Mum's going to k-.'

"Now class before we begin today's lesson I would like you all to take out the homework on Chapter 13 that I gave out last lesson. There should be no excuses as to why you haven't brought it today," he said while walking up to the first row of desks on the far right to collect the homework papers. The homework... that I left at home on my desk.

Luck is not on my side today.

No, don't give up now think. There must be something I can do. I have done it, it's just not here right now with me. Maybe I-

"Miss (l/n)." I shot upward on my seat with a startle. Mr (t/l/n) stood in front of my desk holding a stack of homework papers. I looked up. The look in his eyes could only be described in one way. Disappointment.

"Yes sir?" I said with huskiness in my voice. "The homework?" he replied, not breaking contact with my eyes. I gulped. "Well, sir I have a tiny problem. You see... I have completed the homework buuttt I left it on my desk at home when I was rushing to school because the alarm didn't go off due to the power outage last night." I said while giving an anxious smile.

He looked pissed. Really pissed. Like there were flames in his eyes. However, this was not so obvious as he managed to remain in a calm composure. You only knew he was pissed since that wasn't the first time you forgot your homework. He will most likely just give you more homework to complete before the next class at most. 'He wouldn't possibly do more than he has done to me already right?'

"The same thing happened to all of us Miss (l/n) yet the rest of the class was able to get in their homework. Because of this I will be giving you extra homework to complete by next class and adding another hour or two to your detention for Friday."

'He did not ju-.'

"Do I make myself clear (y/n)?"

'Why is he doing this? I didn't do anything wrong. I could have run back home and gotten it to him before class finished or even better given it to him tomorrow morning before first period.' Even if I explained that to him I would make matters worse and besides, his eyes said otherwise. He was out for bloodshed today. And I was his prey.

"(y/n) I said do I make myself clear?" He repeated a little louder this time.

The gossip girls in the back corner began to giggle amongst themselves. I could hear their high-pitched laughs from a mile away. I was frozen. I didn't know what to say. My mouth has become dry as a desert and nothing will come out. I wanted to run away but I was stuck. I had become a statue, unmoving and silent.

"(Y/n) as your teacher you are supposed to answer my questions." He said with no sympathy.

"Do I make myself clear?"

The laughter in the back began to grow and commentary could also be heard. But it was all a blur. All I could see was the pure evil in my teacher's eyes shooting daggers into my forehead. I couldn't take it anyone. I need out. I need out. 'Get me out of here. Somebody help. Please, anyone. WHY WILL NOBODY HELP ME.'

"Miss (l/n) listen to me. I-"

"GET AWAY FROM ME! LEAVE ME ALOWN!" I yelled as I stood up quickly from the chair and in the process knocked all of the papers in Mr (t/l/n)'s hands around the room.

The class went silent.

I stood there as if I had stage fright. What had I done? I must get out. He will destroy me because of this. I need to run. I have to run. NOW.

I dashed past the rows of seats and out the classroom door with Mr (t/l/n) shouting my name from behind in hopes of stopping me. But I was already running down the hallway, into the cafeteria, down another hallway and through the back double doors that lead to the school oval.

But I continued running.

Past the oval.

Past the second main building.

Across the main road that leads to the back of the school.

And continued running until I couldn't run any more.

By the time I stopped, I was wheezing and tears filled my eyes. I began to sob. A quiet sob in sorrow while leaning against a brick wall for support.

'Why did this happen? I haven't done anything wrong.' I thought as I continued to sob.

'Why did this happen?' Nothing could be heard around me besides my sharp erratic inhales of air, jabbing at my lungs. I was huddled in a ball sitting up with my head on my knees. If someone were to pass me by they would think something is wrong with me and continue walking without a second glance. But I didn't care anymore. I had already been pushed to my limit. There was no going back now. I was never going back to that school.

Never again.

Even despite what others may say.

Including my mum.
