Chapter 4 Mate?

Alix POV
Snap!
I flinched as the whip sank into my flesh once again.
Blood dripped down my back and coated the floor with specks
He bent down and gripped my chain
"Y'know it pains me just as much as it hurts you, but you need to be taught a lesson"

"Michael where are you...you promised......where are you" he let go
"And enough muttering about this Michael guy, Jake take him back to his cell".
The beta, Jake unclasped my wrists and dragged me to my cell he threw me in brutally, locked it then walked away.
I coughed up blood and crawled my way and set myself up on the wall
Michael..........where are you
I tried to make some sort of connection but the pain and upcoming darkness was nawing at my senses and I soon welcomed the darkness as it covered me in its dark blanket.
Alix
A voice called for me
Alix! Louder this time
Still in the black I saw a light
Michael?
He rushed at me crushing me in his embrace.
I inhaled his scent burying my nose in the crook of his neck a light kiss was pressed to my jaw.
It felt weird but comforting.
But as soon as Michael was there he disappeared and I was once again lost in tbe darkness of my soul a faceless figure appeared one after the other

Unlovable

Disgusting creature

You should just die you have no purpose

Different

"He's different Melissa"
His eyes

"Did you see him? He's a freak"

Ugly,monster, beast,
"Banishment"
"Ha Alix Mamma and Papa are gettin rid of you, and you know how?, they throw unwanted pups like you in the river"

I fell to my knees the voices mixing together, the memories, the pain.
I took a few breaths trying to not let the darkness take over.

"Alix"
"Alix wake up"
I opened my eyes seeing me still in my cell.
Josh, a pup in a cell across from me was looking at me worriedly.
He had been abandoned amd and had wandered around until he had gotten caught.
"There coming"
I sat up the whips on my back stinging not yet healed completely.
"Who?"
"The packs"
I looked at him curiously
"Every month the packs have a meeting, and their main amusement is the prisoners".
Josh gulped
"There here"
I slowly stood and looked out my small window.
Sure enough hundreds of wolves were all shifting and talking.
I slid down the wall waiting for my wounds to completely heal sure enough they did.
Night approached as I waited and waited thinking of a plan.
Nothing came through.
Soon Josh was hiding when the torturement room door opened many of the prisoners who'd been here longer hid.
I waited curiously to see what they were soooo afraid of.
Chuckles and moving feet echoed through the imprisonment.
I sat there with my back to the wall waiting.
Drowsiness was taking over me when I heard screams of pain then laughing.
My wolf growled pacing but shifting would only hurt me more since this place was coated in wolf bane.
Despite the screams and my unhappy wolf I slipped into sleep anyway.
I heard chuckling
"Lookat that'a one"
A whistle
"Sure is perdy"
A cell door opened and I heard Josh squeal I jerked awake and saw him being lifted off the ground.
"Alix help me"
Red brimmed the corner of my eyes as I shoved myself continuously against the door only making dents but not breaking them.
I panted the poison of the wolf bane kicking in.
My eye sight got blurry as I stumbled and slid down the wall seeing 2 of everything.
"Eh he almost broke thorough look a'em that wolf bane hit 'em hard eh"
More footsteps joined them
"Ah I've seen you've seen our newest Prisoner put to torture for betrayal of the alpha. "
"Mind if we torture him I mean the alphas sooooo busy with the pack"
"Well hummmm very well don't kill him though use only whips, poison or anything in the torture room".
They grabbed me and clasped me down my knees were on the floors and my hands and arms were in different positions.
The main shifter grabbed a whip and slapped it in his hand and grinned like a madman.
"Now lets get started"

Michael's POV
It'd been a week and no sign of Alix we were going to a wolf meeting still in hopes of finding him.
I suddenly remember why he was so familiar. I'd seen him before.
FLASHBACK

My pack ran through the forest ground, sights of a lone rogue had been left.
Unfinished carcasses, feces and scents.
We had just found it on the move and were surrounding it.

'Alpha we surrounded it'
' it just stopped inside of a cave'
'Ill be there in a sec.'

I sped up and soon joined my packmates.
I had just started as a alpha
I was 16.

'Rogue come out you are on the Moonbriger pack territory'

A shadow of a dark wolf came out snarling he was at least in human form up to my shoulder.
Mate
My wolf growled.
I nodded my head signaling them to take him captive.
We took him to our grounds but he didnt go without a fight.
The other pups teased him when no one was looking.
He would just sit in his chamber with his head on his paws.
One day I went to visit him and he was gone.
No trace left.
END FLASHBACK
I now sat at our table awaiting for the amusement fore this was so far BORING!!
I heard a drum roll
"Now the amusement or sight for this year, bring 'em out boys"
I gasped in horror at then sight layed out before me.
