Chapter 18:

"Do you see that white thing?" The doctor pointed on the side of Jacks arm. It wasn't quite big.   Hotch nodded.
"This is a splitter. It can get dangerous. We have to get it out. This surgery isn't dangerous and he only has to stay for one or two weeks." Dr. Miller told him. "When would the surgery be?" Hotch asked. "His arm is still pretty swollen. So I would say tomorrow night."
"Okay, would it be possible to let stay jack in here?" Hotch asked. "I must ask but I don't think it would be a problem. I assume you wanna stay too?"
"Yes please. Can I make some calls while the beds will be brought in?" He asked.
"Sure, but outside please."  Dr. Miller told him while  he left the room.  Hotch could see how Emily began to stir. "Emily, baby. I'm here" Hotch told her. She wanted to talk but she couldn't.  He gave her a sip of water. "One of your lungs almost collapsed and you've got a mild concussion. You have to stay for one or two weeks." He told her.
"Jack?" Was her only question. "He sleeps, he has a broken arm that has a splitter. He must have surgery tomorrow night." He told her.
"I'm sorry Hotch!" She said. "Why? That could have happened everyone. It's okay, it wasn't your fault! I said you should me call Aaron outside of work."
"We still are… you and me?" She asked afraid of the answer. "Sure baby. You are my love! I love you." He told her and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"Could you watch Jack for a few? I have to make a few phone calls and go home and take some clothes. Your go bag still in the old place?" He asked her and she nodded. So he left after a short kiss on her lips and a short kiss on Jacks forehead.
