Episode 1: Tasting Shadows

The evening sun was on the verge of melting in the clouds for the last of summer days to end in the town of Benta. Cold winds were greeting the town, signalling the arrival of Autumn.

Almost the whole town was done with their daily chores and was heading back to their homes desiring for a steaming cup of tea.

Except for four girls.

A shiny green BMW rounded around the Ester road with loud music beating through the windows and red, brown, black heads waved through the glass signalling everyone of their presence.

The Queen of Benta are here. Some smiled at them, some rolled their eyes but nobody, nobody could take their eyes off them.

"Hi, Mackie!" An eight year old boy selling cookies waved at the car.

"Ali, You look Hot!", Magnum Kent shouted towards them as his grandma came up to twist his ear. "You mannerless lout. Come inside!"

"Here we go again!", The ladies having a kitty party donned in dismay.

"The QueenS are here!", Mr Brendan walking his dog laughed.

They all knew if the QueenS are on the streets there is no one stopping them. No matter how much loud or irritating they can be. They were the favourite daughters of the town. No matter what they do, people knew they bring joy to this lazy town. And there is nothing more fun than the QueenS in town and their drama unravelling the gossips from door to door.

"That Magnum is totally crushing on you again, Ali. You should see his face when his Grandma caught his ear. He was RED." Mackie Williams, the hot, popular, ginger bomb-shell and the biggest drama queen of the town, winked her heavy eyeshowed/ fakelashed but absolutely stunning baby blue eyes at her from the seat beside.

"He will get over." Alisa Vo Cruz also known as Ali and the perfect brunette who can kill any guy with her smile replied not bothering.

But then with a second thought and a blink of her hazel eyes, 'I think', And shrugged her shoulders, along with her wavy hazel brown hair that cascades around the driver's seat,
cause obviously he will not get over her in ages.

He was her ex dumped by her a week ago when she caught him flirting with Mackie. The guy thinks he can get all four of them so better leave him with nothing.

"Wake up sleepy head!" Behind them, Nancy Copper the smart, logical and the genius of the group but bad at humour sitting on the back seat, nudged Vex on her shoulder. Who was most likely napping from half an hour cause, Ali was doing her occasional runs around the town unnecessarily for an hour when their destination was just five minutes away from the house.

"What? Did we arrive?" Vex as in Veronica Yale, the danger ranger yawned. Her straight black hair and silver grey eyes contrasts with Nancy's green eyes and chopped short black hair.
