CHAPTER 35: LIGHT AND LONG BREEZE

"I want that boy inside the Cube as soon as possible, am I clear Mr. Weithtener? It's been two, almost three months since he first disappeared and all you did was kill random people." President Kyedoth sat comfortably in his chair while aggressively talking to one of his agents, one specific that had been chasing Gavin for some time now.

They were both in Kye's main office at the State Union. The President requested his presence since it's has been a while since the last report Leeway Weithtener had delivered to him. Actually, that was the man who killed Philly a month before standing in front of Kyedoth, wearing his usual black suit.

"Mr. President, I feel for your disappointment, but me and my team don't have no clues to follow. Whoever he is, he hides very well." He simply said, not raising his voice or showing he was afraid, even though he was. Who was not afraid of Kye's authority?

"I DON'T CARE, LEEWAY!" Kye screamed and got up from his chair, quickly standing in front of the man. He strongly grabbed a hold of his shirt and sharply threatened him. "I want him inside that Cube in the next two months, or else will be you and your team." He released the shirt and fixed his own tie, sitting back in his chair.

"I will provide you access to every camera in this country and high military spying equipment."

"You want me to spy on people?"

"He is hiding somewhere, so the citizens may be helping him. Some houses are secured by the country's operational system, you will check it as well. I expect positive results, Weithtener, or else you already know the answer. Now, leave. I can't stand your pathetic face anymore."

"Yes, Mr. President." Leeway bowed to Kye and left the the room, feeling nothing but pure anger towards his aggressive and hostile words. Leeway  was about to take desperate measures against the situation, but in the end his life mattered more than the Outlander's.

On the other side of the capital, the Outlander prepared himself for a long journey through the week, where he packed some clothes inside his white and blue backpack. He, Isaac and Lola had talked about their current goal and set an early objective. Now, the three of them prepared everything they would need for the next days, or maybe for the entire week. They didn't have a clue of how much time it would take for them to get to discover what they wanted, if it was possible for them to find. To go to Debleou Cursfee, it would take them almost a day by car, so Lola and Isaac would split the wheel and also use the automatic driver.

Isaac was in the arsenal putting three of the invisibility suits inside briefcases because they would need it eventually. He checked on the status of the suits he and Gavin wore before and they were fine, just Gavin's that had some few screws, but it didn't affect on the general health of the suit, thankfully. Lola was also on the arsenal putting up pistols and ammo inside a backpack in case they needed. The trio was going out with no intention of getting indo aggressive situations, but preventing was much better than going there defenseless for sure.

"Three pistols, sixty bullets and silencers. Is that okay for the occasion?" Lola asked as she closed the backpack and held it with her hand, preparing to leave with Isaac, who managed to hold three suitcases in his hands.

"A bit too much, I think. Hopefully, we will not need it." They started walking out the arsenal, heading to the car so put the stuff into the trunk. "I will put these in the car. Go find Gavin." He told Lola, who did as he said, taking the left on the hallway so she would get into the rooms area.

"Hello Mister Malone, are you ready?" She showed up by Gavin's side after entering his bedroom. Lola smiled at him while he finished his backpack.

"I am. We're going already?" He put it on his shoulder and Lola started leading the way to the garage, where Isaac was waiting for them.
