The monster in armour

After Sans got up from his seat you realized you've spent about 2 hours with this skeleton talking about puns. You've never thought it was possible since you haven't been that witty.

"oh, by the way... can ya foot the bill? i'm flat broke." Sans requested with a wider then usual happy grin.

"Oh-! Uh- I don't have much... how much is it?" You questioned checking your pockets.

"it's just 10000G." Sans answered.

Your eyes widened. "Uhh-"

Sans laughed "i'm only joking, hey grillbs put it on my tab" Sans said walking out the door.

You heard a slight grumble from the bartender and felt bad for him, walking away.

You walked back to waterfall and when passing by Sans he just waved. You headed farther into waterfall and looked to find a waterfall blocking the rest of the path as rocks broke and bounced off it. You froze in fear. They don't expect people to walk through that do they...? You questioned yourself. But sighed and tried to think of something to do without your shoes getting wet. You got an idea. You stepped back and ran at the waterfall stepping on rock to rock, making your way across.

Nailed it! You said proud in your head. You saw up ahead some tall grass and went over to it. Tall grass? - Your thought got cut off by footsteps and you hid in the grass looking around. Your eyes stopped above you and you watched as Papyrus was walking in the presence of... an armored monster?

"H...HI, UNDYNE! I'M HERE WITH MY DAILY REPORT..." Papyrus said shakingly in a stiff loyal stand with his shoulders up.

Undyne didn't reply only staring straight with its back at you.

"UHHH...REGARDING THAT HUMAN I CALLED YOU ABOUT EARLIER..." Papyrus said with a more lowered tone of voice.

Undyne turned to Papyrus, they're voice was muffled through the armor.

".. HUH? DID I CAPTURE THEM?" Papyrus repeated the question.

"Y-YES! OF COURSE I DID! I CAPTURED THEM VICTORIOUSLY!"

Undyne turned with they're back facing you again away from Papyrus.

"...WHAT? DID I MANAGE TO BRING THEM...?" Papyrus sweated repeating the question asked, again. Its like he knew you were there and was repeating what Undyne was saying aloud. "W-W-WELL..." He hesitated. "...NO." Papyrus said in a sterner tone of voice. "I TRIED VERY HARD, UNDYNE, BUT IN THE END...I FAILED." Papyrus said turning out to the sight beyond the cliff. You felt him staring at you.

"...WH-WHAT? YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE THE HUMAN SOUL YOURSELF..." Papyrus said sweating more. "BUT UNDYNE, YOU DONT HAVE TO DESTROY THEM! YOU SEE..." Papyrus started to blunt out but caught his tone. "YOU SEE...-"

Undyne turned swiftly to Papyrus spooking him a bit making him step back. Undyne and Papyrus were silently staring at each other. "...I UNDERSTAND." Papyrus said boldly. "I'LL HELP YOU IN ANYWAY I CAN." Papyrus said and walked off. You sighed, sorry for Papyrus and continued walking forgetting about Undyne. Undyne turned to the grass, and you were completely still. Undyne slowly walked closer to the edge of the cliff at the grass and spawned what looked to be a- MAGIC SPEAR?! You were completely silent now as you felt them searching. After a while they put the spear away and was heard stepping back from the grass. You weren't sure if they were gone so you stayed there for another 3 minutes. You finally stepped out the grass. You heard other feet rustling out the grass behind you and you stepped back.

The yellow dinosaur was there, the same one spotted in waterfall and snowdin. He jogged his feet in place excitedly turning all the way around and back to you. From the looks of it he didn't even have arms!

"Yo... did you see the way she was staring at you...?" He said in amazement.

"You mean the one in armor?" You asked.

"Yeah! That was AWESOME! I'm SOOOO jealous!" He said in a burst of energy. Right away you could tell he was a fan. "What'd you do to get her attention...? Ha ha." He asked jokingly.

You laughed. "I don't know-"

"C'mon! Lets go watch her beat up some bad guys!" He said running ahead but then tripped and landed on his face.

"Oh-! Let me-" You said approaching the tripped monster. But he found a way to get up on his own and continued running. You would look at the save star and sweated going to it and saving. A feeling of dread hangs over you... But you stay determined. A voice in your head called out to you. The ding of the star was heard meaning you have saved. And you continued farther into this new part of the underground.
