That night they had their monthly family dinner and Gabriella was placed between Subaru and Reiji which upset her that she couldn't sit beside Ayato like she wanted to be seated. Once everyone was at the table Reiji looked down to her curiously.

"You've had ample time to figure out who you wish to be around. Have you figured out who you wished to be around?"

She nodded her head. "I have, after thinking about the pro's and con's of all of you I have chosen to be around Ayato."

Reiji furrowed his eyebrows hearing her speak. "What made you chose him out of all of us?"

"Let's start off with the fact that he hasn't once ever pushed himself onto me like you had done. Had it not been for Kanato and subaru that could have gotten rather ugly. Just because in the past I've been around one male, doesn't mean that I will open myself up to other males who I barely know." She spoke glaring at Reiji

Reiji perked his eyebrow up in curiosity. "That's not the impression that I got from those books you wrote."

Gabriella put down her fork as she placed her hands on her lap as she glared up at the raven haired male. "You obviously didn't get the intentions I was placing out there with that then. I can assure you that the impression I was giving off was not that!" She hissed out coldly "Not to mention you rarely ever spoke to me since I chose to be around you six. Your brothers all spent more time around me than you did, you had no reason to do something like that without getting to know me as a person."

"I merely was giving you, your space."

"I call bull shit!" She hissed out as she pushed her chair out and took her food and placed it all by Ayato, she didn't feel comfortable around Reiji

Once she sat down once more she hugged Ayato's right arm tightly as she placed her head against his arm. "He's the one that I chose since who I was going to be around denied me and suggested him."

Subaru's eyes widened hearing what she said. "W-Wait...when you asked me what you did you were gauging me so you'd see if I'd still want to be with you?!"

She averted her eyes sadly "You spent the most time around me and you protected me...I saw no reason why I shouldn't have been around you. But you denied me, so I went with your suggestion. I didn't want to discard any suggestion you might have had for me to be around." She said sadly

The entire table was quiet as they heard what she had said. "So what made you not chose the rest of us if you don't mind me inquiring Sarina?" Laito asked curiously

She let out a sigh and shut her eyes before she opened her eyes and looked at the elder vampire. "Shu is too old for me to be around, I vowed to myself after what happened with me that I wouldn't be with anyone that was above a certain amount of age for me. He's over that boundary. I've already stated why I didn't chose Reiji."

"Of course, we all knew you wouldn't chose him. Why would you be around someone who didn't know how to keep their hands off of you when you aren't ready for that type of touch?" Laito said with a grin

She nodded her head before she took a deep breath "I had little to no knowledge about what would happen around you, which is why tonight I spent time with you. After that time I couldn't see myself around you. I don't mind being friends with you and playing games with you but anything more than that is a no-go for me. I hope you're okay with that Laito."

"No offense taken Sarina, it does upset me a bit. But I get it. You are a rather special case woman." Laito said with a smile

"I refuse to be around Kanato, even though he has been sweet towards me-the male that had been known as my father was just as sweet to me and chose to back stab me in the past. I don't want to relive that pain and suffering again. " Gabriella said sadly

Kanato frowned as he heard her speak "I'm sorry you felt that way around me."

She ignored his words before she looked to Subaru. "I had thought about being around Subaru, I knew him the most and he was so kind and sweet to me. I had went to him and asked him if what he had told me before I was pulled was true. But he denied me-he refused to let me get close to him. So I asked him for his suggestion-he suggested Ayato. Who at first I was unsure about. I rarely spent time around him...so I didn't know if it was a good choice for me to do. But knowing that Subaru denied me and suggested him-well I went with that suggestion."

Subaru averted his eyes as he heard her speak, he hated himself for making her go to Ayato instead of staying at his side. 

Laito and Ayato raised an eyebrow at her. "What did he say to you before that you were confirming with him earlier tonight?" Ayato asked

"He-" She started to say before Subaru slammed his hands on the table. 

"That's none of your business! She's with you so just shut the fuck up!" Subaru growled out angered and annoyed

Laito tilted his head to the side. "Did you confess to her little Subaru?" He teased

Subaru said nothing as he left out angered and annoyed. Gabriella felt more than upset that he had left out like he did. She finished eating her food without another word before she went to find him.

When she found the albino male, she saw that he was by the pier and was looking up at the stars. "S-subaru..."

"What the hell are you doing here? Shouldn't you be around Ayato?"

"I wouldn't be around him if you'd be more honest with yourself and your feelings. I never got to express myself to you before I was pulled from this place. You don't know how I feel about you...and at this rate...I don't think I will ever be able to tell you how I feel." She said sadly as she had her hands together in front of her

He was quiet for a moment before he sighed out and looked at her sadly "I'm sorry for snapping, I'm just angry with myself that's all. Come here."

She did quickly and she sat by him smoothing out her skirt under her. Subaru pulled her into him as she was placed onto his lap, his arms went around her as he broke down crying against him. "I'm fucking stupid."

"Subaru...You aren't stupid, you were just trying to guard your emotions which I understand why you'd do that for." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck softly and petted the back of his head softly
