"Mim honey, this is Obi," Tony said, she peaked her head from behind her father. "He's been in Germany working. But he really wanted to meet you."

"Hello," she said quietly.

"You don't have to be frightened of me little one, I've known your Daddy since he was smaller than you." He kneeled down so he was closer to her height.

She stayed firmly behind her father.

"Did you hold him when he was a baby?" she asked quietly.

"I did," he said looking at Tony before looking back at the little girl. "Tell what, why don't you go play with your Dad, and I'll make us something to eat. What's your favourite food?"

"I like Thai food,"

"Then I will find a recipe, massaman curry, ok?"

"Ok," she almost whispered, tugging her father's clothes slightly to move away from him.

As the evening continued Tony looked anxiously between honorary uncle and his daughter. He had hoped that Mim would respond to him the same way she had responded to everyone else they had introduced into her life. Obi, was a much taler man, perhaps that was it? Mim barely spoke unless spoken to, and it worried the young father terribly.

"Why don't I get this one ready for bed," Remus said smiling at Mim. "Come on cub, lets read The Tiger Who Came to Tea,"

She nodded heading up the stairs with him, leaving Tony and Obidiah to talk. Tony then went on to explain everything he had learnt while he had been away. What they were, who Mim was specifically and her role in this new world that was opening up for them. The older man sat in silence, stunned listening carefully. It was till Remus returned downstairs and showed him proof that he stopped questioning Tony's mental state.

"What are we going to do about her being afraid?" He said looking at the two anxiously.

"We just have to be gentle with her Tony. She has been thrown into this new life; it could be a number of things.

"Maybe it's the bald head, Voldemort was bald." Remus suggested.

"Yeah maybe," Tony said unsure, rubbing his face.

"It'll be fine Tony, when you were a kid you were scared of your mother's driver, you didn't like his moustache. It will be something just as similar, something that we grownups cannot fathom." Obadiah said, Tony watched him. He didn't seem phased at all by Mim's reaction to him. He seemed to sense his thoughts.

"Of course, I am upset she is nervous of me Tony, but we can't force her to like me overnight. I'm a very tall, scary bald man."

The next few days, the continued to gently coax the little girl into being in the same room with the older man, play with her toys, or talking. They had a little bit of success that made Tony hopeful for the future. The biggest of which had been when very quietly she had asked Obadiah if she could have another biscuit. They may or may not have been bribing her with if she asked him, she would receive it.

The next Monday Pepper had had a word with the young father about school.

"She should start with everyone else in August Tony, she needs to be around people her own age, learn. She's bright, and she should be able to grow."

He had, of course, agreed with her, but when he tried to make a game out of her picking a new school she froze up. She asked her father if she could learn from home instead. In seeing how nervous she was he agreed. Which brought a new lecture from Pepper.

"Tony, she will need discipline we can't just let her do what she wants,"

He reminded her that lots of kids were home-schooled, and he plan to enrol her in clubs. He also brought up that she couldn't keep those friends as she began to learn magic and moved to a magical school. In the end Pepper had agreed knowing he was right, she couldn't keep the friends she made at school. He thanked her for bringing up possible issued she noticed, and to continue as they continued to watch Mim learn and grow.

Remus had begun to teach her more about the magical community as Tony, Pepper and Jarvis began to work on various tutors and teachers for different subjects. They all were hyperaware of the full moon approaching.
