Chapter 12

I was so glad na dumating si Vanessa sa office ni Blaine. Kung hindi, talagang mamatay ako sa pagtitiis sa presensya ni Blaine.

And now, I enjoy every minute I stay here. Nakikita ko kasi ang mukha ni Blaine na halos Hindi na maipinta. Priceless and worth it to see.

But Gosh. What is his problem?

"Are you sure six palang si Asher?  He looks taller for his age." Vanessa asked while looking at Asher na nakatingin sa floor to ceiling window ni Blaine. Kasama niya si Bailey.  He's holding her hand as they watch the tall buildings around and the busy streets of manila.

"Mana sya sa daddy niya.  That man is a giant, I tell you. Mababali lang ang leeg ko kapag kausap siya habang nakatayo."
Well Ashton is 6'5". He could pass as an NBA player with his height. But he's not really into sports. Puro kasi businesses niya ang inaasikaso. But I wonder how he maintains his shape. Gym?

"Really? Taller than Blaine? "

"Yeah. Ashton is 6'5"." I answered.

Manghang mangha naman si Vanessa sa sinabi ko. "Wow!"

I heard Blaine muttered a curse from his table.
I look over my shoulder to see Blaine looking at me with so much anger. His brows are knotting together. His eyes are so much darker now but I wasn't even a bit intimidated anymore. Maybe because of Ashton.  I mean now that I think of Ashton,  naisip ko na wala nang mas nakakatakot pa sa kanya. Blaine's little threat is not  even half the threat I receive from Ashton everyday.

I heard another curse from him.

"What!?" I asked him arching my left brow.

He just glared at me before going back to what he was doing.

Dickhead.

Ibinaling ko ulet ang tingin ko kay Vanessa.

"What's wrong with your brother? Kumain ba yan ng isang basket ng ampalaya? So bitter." I asked while rolling my eyes..

"Oh don't mind him. He's just being an asshole." Aniya. " But anyways, why are you still not married to your baby daddy? "

I heaved a sigh before answering.

"We don't get along much. We'd end up getting a divorce even if we did marry each other. So hindi ko na sinubukan. And besides, he's a bigger dick than your brother." Sabi ko sa kanya not caring na iniinsulto ko ang kapatid niya.
Well, iniinsulto din niya si Blaine so I guess she's a cool sister.

"Oh.. sorry. But how does Asher cope up with that? I mean, naaapektuhan ba siya?" She queried.

"Well, he started questioning me why his dad and I aren't living together like other kids do. I Don't know what to say to him, honestly. " I don't know why I'm actually telling her this but it kinda feels right. She's just so cool. Not like her brother and two evil sisters.

"Kaya nga lagi ko siyang pinagbibigyan kapag gusto niyang makasama ang dad niya. Even though I can't stand being with him,  natitiis ko basta masaya ang anak ko." I said before looking at Asher again.

"Being a mother is really hard. But it's worth it everytime we see our children happy." She said with teary eyes.

Now I understand why I like her and we get along in just a short time. We're both mothers and we understand each other more than anyone in the world.

Ngumiti kami sa isa't isa.

"Why are you so emotional?  You're not pregnant, are you?" Biro ko sa kanya.

She laughed at my joke but she stopped suddenly.

Her smile faded and she looked at me again with teary eyes.

Ah... what did I do?

"Oh my God!" I gasped when she started crying. "What did I do?" I panicked.  Not knowing what to do. Hindi ko alam kung hahawakan ko ba siya o Hindi.

"Ate Vanessa?  What happened? " Blaine was already by her side . He gave me another deadly glare as if he was accusing me.

"What? Wala akong ginawa noh." Mataray na saad ko sa kanya.

"Mommy?" Napalingon ako sa matinis na boses ni Bailey.  Hawak parin ni Asher ang kamay niya but she grabbed her arm and ran towards Vanessa.

"Ate, what is going on?" Blaine asked while rubbing her back.

I felt Asher going by my side and hug me. He burried his face on my stomach kaya kinarga ko nalang siya.

God he was getting heavy na talaga!

Binalingan ko ulit si Vanessa at parang baliw na siyang tumatawa habang umiiyak.

Napangiwi ako sa nangyayari sa kanya.

"Blaine. .. I think I'm pregant again." She said in between her sobs.

"Wh-what?" Blaine asked, a bit dumbfounded.

"Mommy?  What's wrong?" Bailey has this cute worried face plastered on her face.

"It's nothing baby. I'm just happy!" Vanessa said while wiping her tears.

Nakaalis na sina Vanessa at kaming tatlo nalang ang naiwan.

I looked at my wrist watch and its already 12:06 pm.

The only reason why we're still here is because I'm waiting for the dickhead to tell us to leave.  Cause you see, we can't leave until he says so. Sabi nga niya, he's in control. Fucker.

I glanced at Blaine and he's still working on something. Hindi pa ba siya gutom? Kasi ako gutom na talaga.  I skipped breakfast dahil wala akong ganang kumain kanina. Isipin ko lang kasi yung mukha niya, nawawalan na agad ako ng appetite.

And I know Asher is hungry too because of his irritated face.

Kanina pa siya nagrereklamo na gutom na siya. And if we stayed here, Blaine will see the true capabalities of my son. I cringed at the thought.

Nang hindi na ako makatiis, I stood up and crossed my arms.

"Kung wala kang balak na paalisin kami dito, wala na akong pake. You're starving my son here,  so i don't care kung i cancel mo man ang deal. Wala na akong pake.." I gathered my things and grabbed Asher's hand and walked towards the door.

"You're not leaving without me."  he roared at us.

I stopped on my tracks and Asher did too.

Humigpit ang hawak sa akin ni Asher. He gave me a very serious face and I just patted his head and smiled at him as if reassuring him that it's ok.

I look over my shoulder with my left brow arching.

"Oh really? Cause we are already leaving, you see." I gave him a sarcastic smile. "Without you. "
With that, we left the room without even looking back.

I'm definitely a bad example for Asher right now. Fighting in front of my son is a very very bad example. Kabastusan ang ginagawa ko, I know that.

I sighed while walking towards the elevator.

I even heard Blaine calling my name but I ignored it.

I know everyone was staring but I don't Care.

Just as we got out of the building, I hailed a cab and went back to the hotel.

I badly need my own car here in the Philippines kung magtatagal pa ako dito.
