In Nadia's Room

Nadia was sitting on her bed, head in her hands. Sobbing at the way her brother treated her. She hears a knock on her door so she dries her tears and mutters a light "come in"

"You okay?" Alec asked as he walked in and sat next to her.

"Yeah I'm fine." Nadia deflected.

"Come on Nadi you can't fool me." Alec says grabbing her chin lightly forcing her to look at him. Nadia starts crying now, unable to hold it back.

"Why would he treat me like that? I was just trying to protect him, keep him from being hurt." Nadia said as she sobbed. Alec pulled her into a tight hug and stroked her hair.

"Shh, it's okay Nadi, he's just being stupid right now, He'll apologize soon. He didn't mean it." Alec cooed.

That's how the next hour went. Nadia crying as Alec held her. Reassuring her that it would all be okay.

The Command Center

The Shadowhunters and Hodge have a meeting.

"Magnus Bane. He's over 300 years old. And, as you can see, he's not exactly shied away from the pleasures of every century. His tastes are both exquisite... and quite excessive." Hodge informs.

"He looks like the Downworld's David Guetta." Clary laughs.

"Guetta's already a Downworlder. Vampire? Ever seen him in the daylight?" Izzy chimes in.

"Can you two focus? This is not a joke." Alec scolds the two girls. Nadia subtly placed her hand on his thigh to calm him down.

"Someone needs to gets slayed." Izzy teased to which Alec rolled his eyes.

"Alec's right. Now, Magnus is one of the most powerful warlocks I've ever known. He has a deep mistrust of Shadowhunters." Hodge says getting back on topic.

"Well, then why did he help my mom remove my memories? Isn't she a Shadowhunter?" Clary questioned.

"Yes, one of the best. But "help" might not be the most accurate word. Now, did Magnus provide a service for Jocelyn? Perhaps. But more than likely, your mother paid Magnus handsomely for his magic." Hodge explained.

"Warlocks usually require payment before they help anyone with anything." Jace informs.

"Word from the Clave is that most of the warlocks have gone into hiding since Valentine began hunting them." Alec informed.
