"Do you feel like you might be sick?"

"No, actually.."

Alycia grabbed a small cup from the cabinet, filling it with water from the tap before setting it on the stool beside the table, and placing her hands on her hips. I tugged on the sheet around my shoulders, keeping the ends crossed over my body, and lifted the cup to my lips, taking a small sip of water.

She raised her eyebrows in anticipation as I set the cup back down, waiting for any signs of a poor reaction to the small amount of bread and water I had consumed, but my body seemed to tolerate this time. I shook my head.

"Nothing.."

She nodded with a smile in satisfaction, taking the cup back to the sink, before our attention was pulled to a knock on the door.

She approached it, unlocking the door and pushing it open to reveal Oliver and Thatcher, who peeked their eyes into the room until their gaze landed on me.

"Ares!" Thatcher called out, jumping at the sight of me sitting up, and he quickly walked over, with Oliver just barely dragging behind.

"You're awake?" Oliver phrased the observation as a question, looking between my eyes with confusion before turning himself to Alycia. "You were right, they do heal fast."

Alycia nodded, a smile lingering on her lips with an expression of pride written across her face, just as happy to see me recovering

Alycia nodded, a smile lingering on her lips with an expression of pride written across her face, just as happy to see me recovering.

"Did you bring what I asked?" Alycia addressed Oliver and he raised his head in realization before holding out a small bag that I hadn't even noticed that he was carrying.

"I think I found a pair of clothes that should fit them, and then I managed to find the medical supplies you requested. That communications camp actually had a decent amount of resources. Rations, medicine, clothing.."

Alycia pulled out the contents of the bag, setting a pair of clothes on the table next to me, and then unloading a suture kit, along with a few needles and vials of medication.

"But there's more," Oliver continued, earning the room's attention with his eager expression. "I cracked into their archives.."

Alycia and Thatcher's eyes went wide, a look of relief flowing over their faces, but for some reason, I didn't share the same reaction.

The archives..?

The ABP kept all of their information on a locked down server, only able to be accessed by very specific individuals, and even those people had to go through a series of coding and identity verification systems before having access to even the smallest amount of information.

I didn't understand why I couldn't feel the same excitement over this new discovery. There was information within those files that I hadn't even seen myself, but maybe that was for the best. The organization was very secretive, and even with the little information that I had myself, I knew that digging within their files was going to be opening a can of worms, revealing a side to humanity that nobody should ever see.
