"Are you leaving?" Blake asks as I look at her on FaceTime.

"We're about to." I say. "They just closed the doors and we're about to taxing to the runway."

"How long's the flight?" Blake asks.

"2 hours." I say.

"Boo." Blake says.

"Why Boo?" I question with a smile.

"I won't get to talk to you." Blake says making me smile.

"Well I'll text you when we land I say.

"I guess that's okay." Blake says. "So what's you're schedule like for your road trip?"

"We play the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow on the 3rd, the Houston Aeros on the 5th, the Dallas Stars on the 7th, the Anaheim Ducks on the 9th, and the Nashville Predators on the 12th then we're back home till the end of the month."

"You're gone so long." Blake whines.

"I know." I say. "But I'm sure you could always go over to my place and hang with my sisters and future sisters-in-law."

"Maybe I can watch the games with them or some of your friends." Blake says.

"They're your friends too you know." I say. "They talk about how fun you are to be around so I'm sured they'd love to get lunch one day or hangout after work or whatever."

"Cool." Blake says with a soft smile.

Only a handful of Blake's friends stuck around her when she divorced her ex husband.

It seems as though a lot Blake's former friends were just friends with her so they could be around Blake's ex-husband.

Fake ass Bitches.

"Ladies and gentlemen we have been cleared for departure." I hear over the intercom.

"Boo." Blake says making me chuckle

"I'll talk to you when we land." I say.

"Okay." Blake says then we say bye and hang up.

After we hang up I lock my phone then I shut my eyes and relax while we take off.

Once were at cruising altitude I take off my seatbelt then all of my teammates huddle around the area I'm sitting in.

"So where were we?" Auston Matthews asks.

"Uh I don't exactly know." I say.

"We were talking about how your rapping ability got discovered." K'Andre Miller says.

"Oh yeah." I say. "Well at West Point we had a talent show night and someone tried to freestyle and they were awful so my friends pushed me on stage and I freestyled next."

"And?"

"It was recorded online and put out on YouTube and after that I would do weekly freestyles and I put them out on Youtube and Spotify since people seemed to like them."

I forget how I was able to skirt around the making money while in college rule, but we did it somehow cause I was able to make money off Spotify streams and Youtube views.

The West Point administrators actually loved that I was doing the freestyles because everytime I posted a freestyle it led to an increase in hits on the school websites and on most of the school's different social media pages.

"What'd your first one sound like?" Adam Fox asks.

"Like this." Ezra says then he plays my first freestyle

When I party in New York, take the late night subway
Goin' out Friday then comin' home Monday
From all directions never find me on the one way flavor
The rhyme just the icin' on the cupcake fuck face
My fans notice these other players is bogus
I'm Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
And the girl stay, kickin' incredibly dope shit
Make my mamas proud cause my clothes fit
Travel round the globe bitch, on my Lewis Clark shit
Don't matter where I live, cause I can tell you where my heart is
I just stay on my side, fuck where everybody at
Tell the planet peace cause I'm gone I ain't comin' back
Had the whole regular life I can tell you that I'm done with that
Tryin' to build a mill off a couple stacks
On my own business, investin' all I got into these fuckin' raps
Willie Parker money, hand it off then it's runnin' back

Takin' sips from the fountain of youth
If you ain't heard about the kid then you out of the loop
As I'm sittin' back starin' at this world in my eyes
See out the window in my room that I'm hidden inside
I'm just a kid who stays speakin' her thoughts, talkin' her mind
Life a roller coaster but I stay along for the ride
Put my heart up on the page, and the song gonna cry
There's logic behind the way stayin' caught in a lie, boy
Ain't a shock that I'm a topic of discussion
Ma'fuckers want my spot so they probably wish I wasn't
They give a little love like everyone does
In reality, they stoned off that competitive drug
And I don't blame 'em, Cause those who above me, I'm gunnin' for
Try and make my way to the top, startin' from the floor
And I don't even need to bring a single gun to war
Cause I be on some shit that they ain't never done before
Takin' over piece by piece, startin' from the core
It's only been a year, I can stick around a hundred more

You can find me in the lab workin' overtime
Smell the weed when you going by, global grind
And I ain't just a local mind
When you feelin' stressed out, have an L
Blow money, keep my lady decked out in Chanel
Live fast when I die better wish me well
Huh, I just hope they servin' beer in hell
Just an everyday story that I'm here to tell
So please, stick around for the Epilogue
For anyone who ever blog, probably heard my name
Hockey's underdog, you wanna win the game
I'm sick of hearin' how music change never be the same
And these dudes who think they everything and never pick a lane
Call yourself a vet, but haven't won a single game
Mad, every girl got my name imprinted in her brain
Bitch I'm a beast, match the style and bars
Find me smokin' weed where the wild things are

"Damn." Mitch Marner says.

"Are you gonna put out songs anytime?" Kendrick asks.

"Maybe Kendrick." I say. "Maybe."
